I hope nothing I've written today comes across as me suggesting that we should not criticise Willian, or any other player come to that. I've criticised Willian many times myself over the last six years. I just don't think we should be aiming personal insults at players. In my book criticism; fine, insults; not fine.

Until CHO is healthy, it is all down to Pedro (my first choice) and Willian, at LW.

I think we are (I cannot believe I am typing this, sigh) mad as ass if we sell Willian this summer. We cannot roll with only 2 legit healthy wingers, and Willian is VASTLY superior to any other 3rd options we have (Moses, Kenedy, Musonda, Izzy Brown, Kasey Palmer).

He's always looked a better player being able to cut in on his right foot as opposed to playing wide right cutting in on his weaker foot or attacking wide right.

We're not going to get Hazard productivity out of him, but I do feel that he is likely to start the season wide left with CHO out injured, and I do think it will give him a new lease of life and he'll be a better and more effective player playing there. 

The way we're going to replace Hazard next season is by everyone stepping up and raising their games, not relying on one individual.

Its because any player called to replace Neymar at that point where the shirts numbers were already defined would need to use the 10.

Heh sure, but willian just does not belong. 

Fernandinho too, players who had plenty of opportunities and were distinctly not good enough. #10 just makes it more glaring for willian.

Nt football is different. Willian can be a good option coming from the bench carrying clear/simple instructions.

 

Fernandinho is a bizarre case though. The manager could call Fabinho who was playing well in the last months, is young and would not irritate the fans, because majority dont like Fernandinho.
