I don't understand one thing, why was he chosen to become this megastar? What was so special about him? There is no footballer name more famous than his. Everybody knows brand Beckham, I even have his deodorant in my closet.

I think I read he was still the number 1 footballer in terms of salary this season.....

Haha. Some of you mix up his media personality and his actual footballing career. He has such a big personality and franchise and the exposure he gets from it people just latch onto the 'overrated' tag. He is more famous for being handsome and married to Posh Spice then being a footballer.

Was he a great player? Yes at least as good as Giggsy maybe not as dynamic or flashy as him but easily as talented.
