He was bought as a squad player, I agree, but due to lack of depth and quality he has been more than just a squad player, right? Despite the AFCON Moses has still played around 40 games and he has started most of them so in my opinion his performances should be judged same as any other first team regulars and for that role he ain't good enough. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we should sell him or anything but more quality is needed so Moses can be the squad player he was always supposed to be. Getting Schürrle would very much be a step in the right direction.

As for your second point, you are mistaken. If a player is good enough, then he is good enough, no matter the price. That simple. De Bruyne only cost £7m but he's definitely good enough and most people are hoping he gets the place in the squad instead of investing big on another midfielder.
