They read out tomorrows newspapers and one says it was as though part of his face was hanging off.

I think it is high time something has to be done to protect the Goalkeepers. Steps should have been taken right after the life threatening challenge by Hunt on Cech.

They are the most vulnerable people on ground. No wonder they say Goalkeepers have to be very brave on the field.

There was an incident in my school tournament, where the opposition goalkeeper jumped to collect the ball from a corner kick and in the process got the tooth of my team player stuck in his head as they both went for the ball. The Goalkeeper went into Coma and the Midfielder lost his front tooth...That was horrific.

He had plastic surgery yesterday as the skin was torn off to the bone. Cech himself has rubbished these rumours - I doubt he will be allowed to play for an extra week though, hopefully he will be fit for United.

It's not just a cut though is it? Apparently part of his face has come away, and whilst it's been stitched back-up, one bit of heavy contact to the face (which is very likely) and the stitches might break!

There is no guarantee either goalkeeper will be fit for the semi-finals, and Rhys Taylor cannot be called up as substitute goalkeeper for the Champions League. We are allowed to bring in another goalkeeper on emergency loan - hopefully Santi Canizares as he has been suspended by Valencia and should be easy to clinch. As much faith as I have in Hilario I would feel more confident with an established goalkeeper.
