So numerous news outlets have reported that Margaret Thatcher died due to a stroke.

Being youngish I never really knew what she was about and the only memories I have of her is Frankie Boyles' 1 minute on mock the week ripping into her..... but I'm sure numerous members who were about during his 'reign of terror' will probably have something to say.

Scottish.....

As I just said in the pub I liked her, but I think the public reaction will be very split.

Yeah I'd imagine so, my twitter time line is full of people saying they don't want to say anything or people saying ridiculous shit lmfao.

she was eveil IMO mate.ruined this once gr8 country,and closed 90% of british coal mines and british manufacturing,i lived through the thatcher years with mass youth unemployment etc

It's not like the UK; England in particular, was ever in good nick after WWII. Look at Manchester, that place was hell back then.

Can't say I know from experience though.

On the positive she was earnest and forthright compared to the devious shuffling creeps round westminster now. Er,, but thats it.
Divisive, cruel, and left a socio-psychological legacy of selfish ‘I’m alright Jack and fuck everybody else’, that is still abundant today.

Hateful vile woman who made the 80s just a tad bit worse than it already was. From section 28 to us apartheid protesters in London being in "koo koo land" by thinking Mandela and the ANC would ever defeat hate all the way to her support of that despot Pinochet.

History has shown her to be the sick disgrace even us kids knew back then....and that is good enough.

I am pleased to say dear friends;

This lady's not returning
