Was frozen out whilst Monk was in charge, apparently looked disinterested in training and wasn't giving enough. Under Pulis he's had a few substitute cameo appearances but nothing of major note.

Sad. Had high hopes for him, higher than anybody else tbh at some point. Reminded me of Lampard with his knack for scoring goals (only 2 goals for Boro now, that's far from productive). 23yo in a month, he should have already had a breakthrough somewhere, or at least be very near it, but that's not the case. Can be written off I guess?

It's another loan spell

Last chance saloon me thinks, hopefully its a good fit at Leeds would have loved him at Rangers with the guide of Stevvie g!

it's time let him go for good RLC and mount have better chance breaking in the Chelsea team than Baker

Theres times where the loan system works out and I cant see this being one of them.

Sell him for as much as poss (along with a pile of others) and use the money on 1st team starters - and depth.

yeah possibly with the magic buyback clause etc ...just in case , 23 i think mmm , damm convinced myself he was going to be our next Lamps , saying that i think he would have done a decent job at CFC last season looking at some of the performances with our other midfielders

A shame really. This was the season where he should of been looking to be in our first team squad or go to another PL team on loan. He had a wasted year, last season. After January, not even sure he played a game which begs the question, why he was not recalled. He is a really talented player who looked a couple years ago, like your next big prospect. He still has time but he probably is going to full behind the peck. He certainly can make a career in the PL, prob just not with us now unfortunately. Hopefully he has a much improved loan-spell this season.

Looking fit eh but showing his age more now too.

I'm not sure being muscle bound is really the best thing for a keeper. Need to be cat like, agile so they can spring into action. Be OK for knocking peeps oit of the way for corners and set pieces tho.

I remember when Eden came back one season last? Season before? Looking like hed been doing some weights. And I thought it did him and his confidence good. Didn't seem to spend so much time getting up. But he dropped it and I remember thinking his form dropped too.

Anyone remember?

Based on my perception of pictures only but I swear players often look a lot beefier in pre season. Maybe they use the extra time without matches to build up muscle , that is perhaps harder to do/keep in full season when you’re running 10-15km 1-2 times a week. Last summer in particular our players looked massive in pre season. Batshuayi and Bakayoko both looked like right units, not that they aren’t strong now but last summer I swear I they looked just much more lean muscle on em
