Look at this gizmo. I remember watching futuristic films as a kid thinking "no way I'm ever gonna see that", but has the future arrived already? It truly looks like something taken out of a sci-fi movie.

Would you buy it? Will it be a hit or a miss?

We still havent mastered voice recognition yet. it rarely works first time! i cant see this being any different. the cameras will be poor as well i'd imagine. it is pretty cool, but id wait for apple/samsung or someone to come out with one so that a rival begins and they just get better and better. maybe in 10/15 years time they will be useful.

I wont get one though due to money and that i have a fucking massive nose which doesnt allow me to wear glasses. maybe if they did a contact lens version id be interested ;)

Well, there are a few big problems and one of them is legal. You don't give your permission for your image to be used. Much of the time, this is fine, but there are plenty of times when you don't want people photographing/filming you surreptitiously and consent is really only implied in public places so you'd have to take off your glasses in private places. I guarantee that these glasses will be banned in most private spaces.

My bigger problem is this: What the fuck is the point? Have you ever been walking along the street and seen something and thought "hey, I wonder what that is and I don't have 7 seconds to check it up on my phone"? Have you ever thought "I'd like to take a picture of that but can't afford to wait the 3 seconds to take my phone out and snap a photo?" If it comes out, people will buy it because people want whatever is new and hip, but it's completely unnecessary. We have so many real issues in the world that technology could really help-we can't get food to people who need it, we need to get more fresh water to more people, etc...but the people who need these things don't have money and the people who would spend $1,000 on a gadget do.

Imagine a world where people are like that...scary thing is it might become like that eventually...
