The team was so devastating on the counter-attack in those days.

Absolute overwhelming of the opposition. Really happy times - come back Mourinho !

Our squad now has the same potential but is so stop/start and has the unpredictability of the 90s

Not only the counter attacks were excellent, the defence was solid as never before with Petr Cech behind them. An amazing team with an amazing manager.

And the amazing thing is that at that time our attack was nowhere near the individual pedigree we have now. The only one out of the lot to be considered near world class level was Robben, but he was missing half the time. This emphasizes vividly the difference between the teams - we have far flashier players now, but we haven't had a team half as good as the 2004-2006 ensemble ever since. What's also astonishing in my opinion, is that the players collective was fairly new to each other, we had quite a large overhaul, but they clicked instantly to produce a nearly unbeatable first season together. Oh Mourinho...

This is one of my favorite games back in the Jose era

What game it was, i remember i was ecstatic when we were three up in 20 minutes! there was also a great Ronaldinho goal and a late goal by terry.. perfect match. :)

Went in the Mugostore afterwards and bought the DVD of the match ''The Greatest Game''

Ah the good old days when we would go 1-0 up and it would be game over. By a mile my favourite time supporting Chelsea. We were probably the most hated team in the world at the time but we didn't give a shit because we had Mourinho. The days when you would actually look forward to a press conference, we could go to Old Trafford and Anfield and get a result, the fat Spanish waiter was the cunt up the road who we all despised and would laugh that he would never be our manager <_<

Difference back then is that we had english backbone in Terry, joe, Lamps, a coach with balls and nerves of steel. Now we have flair boys who yet to become mature. The biggest problem we face now is power. Our key player is Mata and he cant even play 5 games on top level in row (no disrespect though). Our team is soo uncomplete. Striker can score, defence cant defend and midfield is unconsistent.

This match really captured every emotion. Up there with the best I've been to.
