Surely if we offered them 50 million, they couldn't be able to negotiate to have Anelka aswell?

I thought that was the whole point in having a minimum release in a contract? So the club can get a large amount of money that doubles the players valuation and the player able to discuss contract terms of buyer.

So if we offer 50 million, then there is no Anelka plus, but if we offered Anelka with an extra 20-30 million, then that should, imo, match the amount in his contract.

Anelka is better than Torres. He never get injured, he helps the team, if not with goals, with his passes and with his good movements around the pitch.

So 50m for a overrated striker plus Anelka is really stupid. If we include not Anelka, but Kalou in the deal will be OK, not because I think the spanish is worth 50m, but because I do believe that leting Kalou go is worth even more than that.
