Tomo 21,751
Well he scored a lot for Liverpool, we thought "hey let's get him and grab a bargain" we never knew Liverpool was smirking they got 50M for a crap player. He's scored less for us than even before Liverpool. He was already declining for Liverpool, but every one thought it was just a blip when it was actually early burnout.Essiens decline was just as steep, he just didn't make a big money move at the wrong time to draw widespread attention to it. We were stupid for that, Torres was a blessing in disguise. If he had worked out well, we would probably be splashing cash still like then. Siliver lining. Siliver lining. He would have known if he ever left Liverpool he would have commanded a high fee, he must have known that his injuries took it's toll and he would never have justified that price tag when he was on the way here. That us true, the Torres debacle seems to have given us a kick up the backside to change, having said that I don't want him to scare us off making big money signings in the future. Was he supposed to say "No, accept less money because I'm declining cause of these nahhing injuries."? Lol.Not to scare us off, but if we don't need the player, don't do it, and if he's nearing 30. Joker10 946
Gullit was saying (week ago) that if Torres starts scoring like crazy for Milan, which he thinks is possible, it won't bode well for Serie A. It would just show how slow the league is, that a player like Torres can thrive without having much pace left. Gervinho's been doing there what he was never able to do for Arsenal.I don't believe that, that road is very slippery. Graziano Pelle was a Serie B flop, so far he has been one of the biggest reason for Southhampton current standing after the fire sale they had in the summer.Gervinho is playing under the great Rudi Garcia, his former manager at Lille. Certainly he knows how to best utilize Gervinho. I hope Torres does well, i certainly wish him the best even though his play was frustrating as any player i can remember. Not only from that perspective, but if he plays well his value increases maybe he won't be a complete deadweight to this club.

Tomo 21,751
Apparently the Milan president came into the dressing room at half time and demanded Fernandos introduction and is putting pressure on Inzaghi to play him more.Torres must have the best sales pitch in living history, never have I seen a player be so shit at his job but have so many people fawning over him. the wes 7,212
Torres said in the Evening Standard: “Mourinho has always been good to me. The decision to leave was a personal one because I needed more, I needed to feel important.“Mourinho and I have a good relationship and still today we continue to talk to each other.”The World Cup winner ended up in Italy with Milan, but reports throughout the transfer window linked him with an emotional return to his roots in Madrid.Torres admits to being aware of the rumours, but insists rejoining Atletico was never a realistic option. He added: “There wasn’t a real option to return. They speculated with it and I didn’t like that.“I’ve said it many times, I won’t go to Atletico to retire. I will go if I have motivation to compete because the Atletico of today is very different than when I was there.“I follow them every weekend. It [returning] is an option that isn’t real.”
