Hd123 5
I hate when people compare him with Drogba to argue about his performances. Like: "Drogba's hardly setting the world on fire either" What?! So, just because Drogba is playing like shit, it excuses Torres? I am not happy with him. My patience is almost down to 0.It obviously doesnt excuse him, but if Drogba is not in form I'd rather give Torres a chance as he's 27 and cost 50m. Unless he puts in another lazy, passionless performance, then he can kindly fuck off back to the bench.
francozola 2,040
Okay that's a fair point. But I think Drogba has been ok in the last month or so. He does disappear in games but that's not due to lack of effort, he can't run the way he used to anymore that much is obvious. He still creates things out of nothing (that shot against the bar yesterday, the ball for Ramires, etc) and I believe the team players better with him on the pitch than Torres. If Drogba was playing the way he was last season, then I'd defo agree that he shouldn't be starting but he's doing alright right now imo
BlueLion. 21,491
In the end Justin was right! Well i just came to gloat about that, say hi to my friend Henrique, and wish all the people that liked me some good holidays.I'm in FBTZ.com and Rojadirecta.es under my old username. If you got an account there hit me up.Peace! In the end, yes, but you could at least be a little more magnanimous.

Even in his poor form last year, Drogba was better than him.. To be frank, I'd rather start Kalou ahead of him. Firstly because at least he shows some passion, and secondly, because even if he does miss some sitters, he still manages to get some goal here and there, and to create things. The fact he gets just 15 minutes per game, does not excuse him for his poor form at all. Because actually, he doesn't deserve to play more.
BlueLion. 21,491
I'm not going to judge Torres for a while, because he's had about 60 minutes on the pitch in the last five weeks.

My patience is almost down to 0.I'm just not seeing Torres as a Chelsea FC player anymore, but rather simply as a player on the pitch that somehow ended up with a Chelsea shirt on. His heart is just not in it and if he doesn't play well in Jan then he should go back to Spain to find his passion for football again. If anyone is in any doubts about this, just watch videos from his Liverpool days. It's a different player.Agree with that. hes had ample opportunities. You can hear a collective, albeit hushed, sigh at the Bridge as he warms up..... Badboy 1,526
Why has he had 60 mins in the last 5 weeks...................... Bluelion ? The manager and coaching staff get to see him daily on the training pitch and they have completely ignored him for a While now ! To be honest though, can you see him causing opposing defenders like A.cole a problem in training ?
BlueLion. 21,491
No I can't, but I get the picture him and AVB have had a fall out... especially if Malouda is getting minutes ahead of him.
Badboy 1,526
The fact is this guy is shit and i have never in my life seen a striker recapture form after being this hopeless for this long. He's basically a similar situation to Kaka just a 2 season wonder.
Badboy 1,526
I would offer him to Newcastle in exchange for Demba Ba, Mike Ashley is a long life Chelsea fan and we probably engineer this Demba Ba is quality you know !

Strikers need a run of games and I'd really like to see Torres getting a good long run in the starting 11. Can anyone tell me when Torres' longest run in the starting 11 was and how many games it was for?

And yes I know he's not playing much. I don't mean in that sense. What I mean is... simply look at the way he runs with the ball. He's so clumsy! A league 2 striker is more composed on the ball.Compare it to how he was in his Liverpool days. It's amazing how he has transformed. I don't know how it happened. Whilst playing an off-form Torres is like playing with 10 men. Badboy, Sir Mikel OBE, Peace. and 4 others

Popular Post! Kostas 1,468 Posted December 23, 2011 Popular Post! Share Posted December 23, 2011 It's not even a question of confidence and finishing now, as people have pointed out he barely makes runs anymore and looks as lazy as a player could be. While the fact that he gets roughly 10 minutes against tired opposition could explain his inability to find form it does not in anyway excuse his workrate. You didn't see Danny having that attitude when he was getting the same treatment from Carletto last season.
