Sheva. 5,373
He has not played well since Stoke, and has actually gotten worse in every game since then. But i will not make any judgement till he plays a couple games - and not for fucking 10 mins - with Mata, Meireles and Sturridge (first 2 especially)If after that he's still crap, then we better cut our losses and get rid of him in January. St Abramovich 175
You could blame the midfield but now I have to admit, it is down to him, his confidence looks shattered.Torres would never have attempted that cheeky back-heel like Sturridge did, I wish he had Sturridge's "I'ma show you how great I am" attitude. nofreakingway

Imo they will only pay more than 20m if all they care about is his popularity, and not his current form.Hmmm Torres in Russia with all his female fans... Guest justin_3d
Daniel Sturridge's sweet finish is sour for Chelsea's Fernando Torreshttp://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/sep/11/daniel-sturridge-chelsea-fernando-torres
HNKS 508
Its all down to confidence. The guy literally has none left. Its done to the way he was played at Chelsea. So many games he got subbed at 60 minute mark or came on for the last 20 minutes. Started against Liverpool, big mistake. Just as he starts performing a bit better, AVB doesnt start him. Good decision as we won the game but I dont know if Torres will ever recover. I hope im wrong. nofreakingway
Melanicus 5,208
Fernando Torres speaking to Spanish magazine Don Balon on April 16 2009: " I have already played in La Liga and the Premier League, Now it would be nice to try Serie A, perhaps in a club like Milan or Inter. It would be nice to be able to say one day that I managed to play in the three most important leagues, and perhaps I will also try the Bundesliga." Ray. 217
Such a frustrating player to watch. It's all about confdence, but i'm sad to say that I think that that AVB is going to choose other players at his disposal over him to start. Beast 85
Is the Torres conundrum the biggest problem we've ever faced?
RX8 40
The problem with Torres is Simple....ACTITUD!!!He will play as his best when he realice that his only problem is in his mind..... after this last game..AVB is right to let him on the bench.... his actitud sucks.... and he show it in the pitch..... and Lukaku should be there in Torres place.... Because at least Lukaku has the actitud.....I´m sorry because I sopport him... and had faith but not with that actitud
Henrique 9,133
For me Torres is already a flop. Sturridge and Mata only needed few minutes to do what Torres did in many many games. The fact that VB dropped him only shows that the manager dont believe him enough. His form in training must be bad.Shevchenko is a legend compared with Torres. lol
BlueLion. 21,491
I'm fully behind Torres, but he cost us £50million and he has to start firing soon. We've had our best performance of the season without him, although I desperately want to see him alongside Mata and Dan. planetchelsea 3
I think Torres should go on a loan move in January, preferably in Italy, where he can re gain his form and come back all guns blazing in the summer

jmarlow 458
the way i see it Torres needs players around him who can move the ball quickly and play defense splitting passes! we have those type of players now with Mata, Meireles and Sturridge. So i want to see Torres playing with these guys and if he still cant score goals with them around him then we would need to get rid of him, but i feel when he does start playing with them the goals will come! and plenty of them as well!! steve5221 91
I have only seen the Stoke and West Brom games this season. Against Stoke he was fantastic and I thought he did well to against West Brom and was unlucky to be subbed. Indeed his perfomance in that game was much better than his replacement(Drogba). I did not see the Norwich or Sunderland game, and after these two it seems the stick has started again. Can someone give me an unbiased view of his performance in those 2 games in comparison to the first 2??Also in regards to judging his Chelsea career, I think when we bought him he inital performances were poor, but to be fair wankers like Malouda were going out of thier way to make him look bad. I try to give an impartial view on all Chelsea players but what always sticks in my mind re: Torres was that great finish from the corner in the 1st champs league game against Man Ure last year, that was incorrectly disallowed. Had that gone in I really think that could have been the lift off for him...
Sheva. 5,373
He was poor vs Norwich, cant even remember a single thing he did, except get booked. And against Sunderland, he only played 16 mins - hardly got the ball tbf - but when he did, on a 3 on 1, he just kicked the ball away
Melanicus 5,208
In last few days, or better, hours there've been rumours about Torres leaving Chelsea on loan for A.C. Milan. The same was in the past with Crespo and Shevchenko, who both too, were in similar positions as Torres right now. They can't afford to buy him permamently, but they'll ofer Chelsea Pato or Robinho to go in other direction (both players were Chelsea targets before) to try and smooth the deal. This would probably raise the morale around Chelsea as a club with Torres out of the picture, and raise his own morale, too. Few sources, but these are really doubtful, were saying that AVB will axe Fernando for Bayer and Man. Guest justin_3d
Stupid stuff if true.Torres should at least be giving a chance till December. If he don't perform by then, then maybe you can consider that.
