Ironically, I'm pretty sure RDM was fired when he was fired because Roman felt like he had a small window to fire him. Nobody would have been shocked had we lost to City and the next 9 matches were all quite easy (although we got only 1 point from the first 2). I'm sure we'll go on a good streak soon because our competition is so weak, but I thought that streak was going to start against Fulham.

And how is almost certainly getting knocked out of the Champions League a 'rather good start to the season'?

We were first for quite a while...United never made it out of their group last season...those things happen...we are in a very tough group...

I'm not saying Robbie did a perfect job, but we could have given him more time without disturbing the squad harmony, destroying our Europeam reputation and putting shitload of pressure on the whole club...then once the season was complete we could've assessed everything and made a better decision...

Exactly. There was no need for knee jerk reaction to fire RDM & replace him w/ Telly Tubby. That move is like restarting a computer. Start from scratch again. Things were not that bad w/ RDM @ the helm. 3rd in the league. Advanced over manure in the League Cup. Needed to prep for the CWC. Still had a chance in Europe. Still FA Cup to play for. Now, we have telly tubby demanding to have the pocket book open so he can spend money & waste players like he did @ l'puke. Awesome Command decision there

That and Jose was treated like crap..in his last year..the falling out in January then his eventual sacking in September.The board are still mental why come to a club where nothing has changed and you are unlikely to have control over who comes and goes.

Exactly!They had an easy group really,looked down on it and ended up going to Europa.Most the fans accepted that in a 'lets just try and win this because we havent yet' sorta way.There were the odd 'Fergie out' ones that were quickly set back and put stright

What I can't understand is, how can our board and Roman expect us to play fluid attacking football without a deadly striker and with young players who are still adapting to the league, new life and the language? It was always going to take time...

Look at Mata in his previous season...he did alright, but now he is simply on a different level.

Ramires was nothing special in his 1st season but look at him now?

And now what? We will get awful results, pressure will build up and we will go into panic mode. Teams (read: Atletico Madrid) will pull our balls for money and milk us like cows on a milk farm ...

Rafa can't asses the squad in a month ... Robbie has been through hell with those lads and he knew exactly who, how, when and why does something. He kept playing Torres? Well yeah, blondie's confidence was so low that if he was put on a bench he would've sulked so much we could have only used him to carry towels around...this way it was an opportunity to get him going in order to fetch a better price once we decide to sell him...

It was so calm with Robbie...he had that look in him that was saying "Everything will be fine" ... now? Anything can happen.

What we, as fans can do is to stop creating such a big fuss about everything and start supporting the team like fanatics. They need us now more then ever.

7 below but only 5 points.They win next week and we loose..2 point gap.Hopfully wont happen but their league postions looks worse then it is really.We're lucky they didnt win today

Give Benitez time,but the problem is that he won´t bench Torres and that is our problem.We always play with ten men and this makes me really sad,because last season we had Drogba,who scored some fantastic goals.We have to give Benitez time to be succesful.The funny thing is no one is capable of making Torres better.The manager,who realizes that,will be succesful at our club,because then we will finally start playing with 11 men.He only has to sell him.
