I'm laughing at Liverpool fans who are celebrating this like its a victory. This reaffirms that we need someone lethal up front. I've had it with FT. He didn't have a bad game to be honest but Torres doesn't cut it, he's shown nought that he can lead the forward line effectively, and Sturridge doesn't get games. I wasn't expecting us to win the league anyway, so I don't want us to get a new striker in January just in vain, unless a top quality one is available at a decent price. It's always bad when a draw feels like a loss. Hope RDM sorts the minor details out soon. Hope JT's alright too - look how much better we looked like as a team when he was on. Robbie might have to consider a 4-3-3 vs WBA as they play a narrow 4-2-3-1. The Skipper 20,609 Posted November 11, 2012 Share Posted November 11, 2012 You're all right we need a striker, BUT we didnt draw today because we dont have descent strike force, we lost points because yet again, like the Arsenal game, we are too smug when we lead by just 1 goal, when we can obviously attack the opposition harder. It was just embarrassing today, looked so naive, not mature enough, not ready to win the title, thats what i thought about that performance. Unbelievably disappointed realy... hope we can learn from that. Otherwise the 3rd place will be in the bank too soon.Yeah, agree with most of this. He will not always get chances delivered on a plate...We need a different type of forward..some one who can drop into midfield like Totti or Rooney and help create their own chances.. The strikers job is to get the ball across the line. Yes when the rest chip in it is great. But when you have to rely on your AM 3 you are always gonna be at a disadvantage. If you look man for man, (Excuse the pun), we have as good a team as man u and man city, EXCEPT in the striker department. If they are in trouble, RVP, HERNANDEZ, AGUERO, TEVEZ, DZEKO, steps up, even when they are playing badly. Man city this season have been saved at least 4 times, when they found themselves in similar situations to we found ourselves today. In many games it may not matter, but over the course of a 38 game season that will be the difference. United and city should have drawn based on the situations they found themselves in but fought to get 2 extra points. We should have won, but lost 2 points.
