i remeber before this 10 game run started i was hoping we we go like 8-1-1 or 7-1-2 the only thing is one of those losses was unjust so now if we truly do lose a game it would be 2 dropped instead of one. which isnt bad but would then put us in a very bad position if we lose in the UCL or PL.

I trust our home form and expect a fired up side come Wednesday, and although Shakhtar are riding high on their unbeaten run all good things must come to an end (see Juve's loss today vs Inter).

we have JT back and mata who i think we missed today vs Swansea. for some reason Mata and Oscar just didnt click and that i expect will grow in time,, (also goes to show just how important the little Spaniard is in that attacking 3 atm).

also bring on Lamps later on as a replacement for Oscar in CM. is he injured cuz havent seen him as of late?

From what i recall, Lampsy picked up a calf strain against Shakhtar away..which has made him unavailable for 2 weeks.

I think we can either rush him back or keep him fresh for the next league game against Liverpool.

I don't want to finish 2nd,we could face barca/madrid/bayern/united...best case scenario is us getting 3 points Wednesday and juventus drawing with shakhtar in Ukraine

yeah finishing top is important but i would laugh so hard if we finish 2nd and get Porto in the last 16 and Man U top their group and end up getting Real Madrid (who i think will come 2nd in their group) ;)

Big game this one.... If we don't win then it is in juventus' hands and we have to go to there and win which will be extremely hard...

Also looking forward to this one as i am going there, and hopefully we can play better than we did the last time we played them.

We are not out of it with a draw or loss, but we would have to win our next 2, unless nordjaelland can do us a favour and beat them.

I agree, but math doesn't. Lose this, win the next two games and we are through.

Depends on Juventus then though..

No it doesn't. If we lose this one but win Juventus and Nordsjaelland, we'd end up with ten points whereas Juve could only achieve a maximum of nine points if they won the other two games.

That being said I don't fancy our chances of getting the three points at Juve, so a win against Shakhtar is a must. Even a draw in Italy would be a good result imo so we can't really afford to go into the game with the away win as our only chance of qualifying. Last year's group stage was tight enough when we had to win Valencia at Stamford Bridge to go through but beating Juventus at their stadium is on a whole new level compared to that.

I think this match will define whether we top the group or finish second. I really don't think Juve will make it to the knock-outs unfortunately. Fatigue is an issue atm, but I trust the players will have the motivation to get past that. If Mata is fit, he will no doubt provide a huge boost for us.

If we win this game and Juve beat the other team(can't spell), Table will look like this Shakthar 7 Chelsea 7 Juve 6.

If we win our next game and Shakhtar beat Juve ,Table will be Shakhtar 10 Chelsea 10 Juve 6 . Juventus out of the tournament and the Match against Juve will decide if Chelsea comes 1st or 2nd.
