That crucial player

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hazard had given interviews saying that while he had interest from Madrid and Barca, he wanted to go and develop at a club in which he got playing time and the premiership is perfect in that sense. He said a lot more too, not coming to my mind at the moment.....

Based on that i think he will head to Spain in a few years time.

Let's hope not. Untill now, all that is speculation...

Tbh this thread should be about Petr Cech, he really is that crucial player. Great saves vs Arsenal and that one tonight. Has been doing it for years now. All the attacking midfielders will get the claims but when the defence is in trouble Cech usually bails them out!

Cech is an important player but I reckon your team's most crucial player would have to be the striker because it is up to them, to win the game for your team (e.g. RvP carrying Arsenal on his back last season).

A goalkeeper can help save a game but he won't win a game for you, unless it goes to penalties.

One think about "Hazard going to Spain giants", if he becomes the player we all want, he will command a fee for atleast 50 million and with FFP getting in charge, these transfers will be almost impossibble even for RM and Barca, so keep that in mind.

Why does everyone believe that Hazard will jump ship to Spain one day? If Hazard is, then we may as well make those plans applicable for Mata, Oscar, Moses, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Marin etc. We didn't sell Terry, Cole, Lampard and Drogba to the highest bidders, so what makes this generation any different?

To be honest, Terry & Lampard would look out of place in a foreign league.

They would, reggardless:

Real and City came knocking for Terry.

Real wanted Cole.

José and Inter Milan wanted Lampard.

And I believe Real made quite a few enquires for Drogba.

can't base the formation around hazard just yet. he's a real talent i agree but right now what we should do is get the best out of Torres. he is the striker and he should bury the bulk of the chances he gets. right now we aren't creating much and of the few we do create, nando seems hesitant to pull the trigger. we need to start placing balls in behind the opposition defence for nando to run at rather than have nando tirelessly work around and create space for our attacking midfielders

Hazard at the moment doesn't have anything that special in his locker that would suggest that building a team around him would be of any benefit. Hazard is good at most things in terms of his attacking play but there is nothing there that is out and out special. When we seen Robben break through at Groningen you could see that his ability to dribble and breeze past players was going to be the spring board for him to be a world class player in future. To build a team around one player like Riquelme he has to provide something outstanding for you to do that and Roman did that with his vision.@Blionheart what skill does Hazard provide that he is the top 3 in the world at doing ? He'll probably develop something but he sure doesn't have it now ! By the way at the moment Oscar is the first name on the team sheet period.

His dribbling? He's a excellent dribbler. The control is incredibly tight and he knows exactly how to go past a man, that's something you can't teach someone. And he draws a ridiculous amount of fouls because of it.

And he did provide 17 assists for Lille last season (18 in total including NT performances) and he's provided 7 assists so far. So you could say he has a uncanny ability of delivering the final ball.

Wow, calm down, he is only 21. Everyone develops at a different pace. Hazard is already a very good dribbler. When you partner that with his speed and balance he is brilliant. He will get better in these areas and he will become truly incredible. He is also a good passer, has good vision. If he improves his finishing he can be CR7-lite. Almost the whole package.

No I think he's a brilliantly balanced player but my point is he's not at his destination yet hence why I think building the team around him now would be a huge mistake. He's a good dribbler but not to the extent were he can do it on a consistent basis not yet anyway. He's only 21 and he has fantastic raw material's but he needs to develop and we can't build the team around him now maybe in future though.
