Jase 43,479
We offered 5.5 mil? why we are so stingy?IF what was reported there is true, then the board seem much more concerned with the finance than the current state of the squad. This Azpilicueta doesn't even involve a huge transfer fee, so why can't they just get it done ASAP considering that we desperately need a RB now?! If this drags on, we'll only gonna leave ourselves in a sticky situation with only 12 days of the transfer window left to go. Either we'll agree for the price that Marseille wants at the end of the day OR we'll become panic and pay over the odds for another RB! BlueLyon 9,359
If the board is willing to spend for Hulk or Modric over 40mio, we should easy put those 12mio for Azpi. And Moses. Keep putting those ridiculous fees and Marseile and Wigan will fuck us off, other clubs will pay for them and we will end with Van der Wiel for 15mio... xPetrCechx 13,571
Francois Piraux @F8PirauxCésar Azpilicueta starts for Marseille today. Surely his last game with OM. #CFC #OM
Stevenx1313 17
When we try and get someone for a steal everyone complains that we are rude, stingy etc. Then if we overpay its because we are chelsea and the new kid on the block. So maybe if we started low and worked are way up to a fair asking price it would work right?

So maybe if we started low and worked are way up to a fair asking price it would work right?I bet Arsenal fans are pissing now on Barca for stealing them Song for low money. I'm pretty sure what you said is known for every club. If you pay huge, you overpay player and everyone thinks your club is ''fake'' for having so much money, while if you buy someone below his actualy price and make things worse for previous club (like Song case), people will blame you for being dirty, low,...Football is becoming different every year, probably on worse. In next five years, prices will go up for another 10 mio.

Waterfall 893
Funny thing is I watched Marseille play something like 10 times last two years, yet I do not remember much about him

He is more a Paulo Ferreira-type than a Daniel Alves. He rarely goes forward, it isn't part of his natural game.

BlueLion. 21,491
As I say, it isn't part of his natural game. When he is invited forward by his team-mates, he does go forward. But he is the sort of defender who rarely does go forward. Opposite of Bosingwa.

He is more a Paulo Ferreira-type than a Daniel Alves. He rarely goes forward, it isn't part of his natural game. There is a reason why Chelsea only conceded 12(?) goals in the 04-05 season. Paulo Ferreira is 20% of that reason.
Wise 45
He is not a very attacking full back but I don't mind that. We have so many attackers we will need our defenders (and midfield two) to defend - or we will be punished by good teams.
zolayes 14,489
I am old ... I like defenders who defend ,,,,attackers who attack and midfielders who do both . I suppose I am a dinosaur
