I know that this is a stretch, but ive realized something lately and everyone i have talked to about it says it makes sense...

is it just me or are the players we have been signing lately not only good players, but good people?

-Ramires, oscar, torres, mata, cahill- they all seem like quiet guys that are actually really nice

-kdb, marin, courtois, lukaku, romeu- they do talk to the media a good amount but seem extremely mature and know what they want and how chelsea will help

-hazard- he is viewed by the media as a egotistical guy, but he really isnt

-meireles- im not real sure how to judge him

-luiz- the guy is crazy but he is hilarious and having people like him helps the dressing room

i know that we have bought players like drogba and essien that give so much to other people, but pretty much all of players recently seem to fit this category

it just seems to me like we have been buying players who are not only good, but also likeable. im not sure if the board is trying to get our club a better reputation or make us more likeable, but if thats what they are doing, i think its working. it will help people who arent fans respect the team as mature adults and not hate us just cause the players wont make as many stupid decisions off the field. i hope if this what they are trying to do that they keep this philosophy.

Luiz has been the best addition to the dressing room in years.. Everyone loves him apart from Lukaku ... who he always plays pranks on, especially in the Fifa competitions haha!

Deco wasn't trouble. I remember Big Phil said something about Ballack was jealous because Deco was playing instead of him after he was sacked. Also how he (Big Phil) struggled with Drogba and Cech.

Found that Deco and Ballack rift thing.

Ballack wanted to be one of the owners of the dressing room and the relationship with the German was not easy. He seemed jealous of Deco, did not want his arrival and I had to explain that I was the coach and it was up to me. I wanted Deco to work it out with Ballack, but it wasn't possible. They didn't speak to each other".

There has been an absolute shift in the transfer mentality of this club. The most obvious aspect is the fact that the majority of our targets are young. This is one way we can counter Financial Fair Play.

It just seems a coincidence that the guys we've signed are all-out nice people.
