You don't know that any more that I can claim to know the opposite yet I do believe the opposite. Had Dele Ali joined us in the summer he'd have been playing because he is clearly better than the options we have.

You forget that Jose frequently dropped Oscar and tried alternatives. The alternatives never worked however and Jose would eventually go back to Emboaba. He was searching for a player we didn't have. It was only this season that Willian finally took his chance and did enough, until recently anyway, to hold the place. There is no doubt in my mind that Ali would have grabbed that chance and made himself first choice.

Mourinho said he only needs to watch a player for 10 minutes to see if he's ready or not for the big stage. Wonder how did he figure out that Oscar should be kept at the expense of Kevin De Bruyne when there's clearly a big difference between the two of them. And you don't have to be a pro to see that.

Mou didn't do much to keep KDB around. I wouldn't be surprised if he literally watched him for 10 minutes and then made up his mind.

About Oscar... it's sad to see how he hasn't fulfilled his potential. He used to be good, now he's the Mikel of attacking midfielders. 100% sell.
