Azpinator 2,325
He's probably been told to keep his mouth shut for the time being like Hazard was, until an official announcement.Hazard announced it before the club did.

ChelseaUnite 26
Hi im new here! From Indonesia :-) @ChelseaUnite on twitterFrom EAC: Menezes on Oscar: "Chelsea's fans can expect a very intelligent player. He is somebody that is able to read the game and solve any problems that arise for his team.He does not rush and dribble with the ball at this feet but he finds good things to do with the ball.Put it this way, we wears the No 10 for Brazil and we don't give that shirt out to just anybody." capriccioso 2,545
I think Menezes has said all that needs to be said. He wears the number 10 shirt for Brazil and that's not given away lightly. I can see him being a huge success here, but will he play centre midfield? Or will he play in the attacking midfielder position, forcing Hazard to right wing and Ramires to the bench? If we put Marin/Hazard/Ramires at the RW, he can rotate with Mata or Lampsy. When we play against offensively weaker teams, he can even play along with Lampsy as double pivots. In short, he is versitile enough to play at every positions in the midfield before he replaces Lampsy for good. Slam Dunk 1,442
Based on what I saw last night (unfortunately this is my only reference to his game, I don't watch much Brazilian football) - He is someone that we were crying out for last year, a player that keeps the play ticking over. He seems very tidy/efficient with the ball when deep, but also looks like he could be more dangerous in a more advanced position (he only had one shot however). For a slight 20 year old, he also seems very combative and willing to help out with the midfield battle. Brazil's 4-4-3 system suited him very well I must say.He wasn't the star of the show last night by any means, but he did his job and he did it well. Severinb 309
It just pisses me off that we cant just confirm the deal it scares me he is exactly what we need and is only 20 years old! When are the olympics finished? He and azpi both want to concentrate on the game but i still hope they will decide before they are over. I can see both brazil and spain going into the finals so we might have to wait a while!
BlueLion. 21,491
According to the Mail the deal is in jeopardy because he has not yet signed the contract.

Maybe they will ease him in this season but the number of CM's in the squad is alarming- Oscar, Lampard, Mikel, Meireles, Essien, Romeu, McEachran, de Bruyne while Ramires, Mata, Benayoun and Hazard can all play there if neededImo, Essien should be sold and McEachran should be loaned while de Bruyne gives cover for the wingers and CM's. Oscar, Lampard, Mikel, Meireles and Romeu should be the CM choices. I don't think we will play Ramires in the middle. Ramires will be on the right and looking at the squad right now, he is the only player at RM. Marin prefers the left wing while Hazard is comfortable at LM and CAM. I think di Matteo will stretch Hazard's versatility by playing him on the right and thereby relegating Ramires to the bench. Styles 9,790
I thought he played really well. Smart, aware of space and linked up with teammates brilliantly. We have potentially a very, very special player on our hands. Now I'll be nervous until I see him holding up the shirt.
Marvin123 534
yep im very nervous bout someone stealing him! very rare of a player of his age to be so intelligent and play like the 'experienced' one,i believe he will start next to mikel in midfield, they could compliment each other very well, oscar would be more free in that role and link up the play between attack and defence and dictate games
