zolayes 14,489
arguements are going round in circles ...often seems Danny is like that. MAKE him watch Messi ,,,so often he chooses the RIGHT option
Liquidator 5,176
I don't mind him taking players on but often when he does he often goes that one step too far and looks for one more player to beat. What he does do excellently is run at full backs inside their penalty area, get to the line and pull it back and that has created so many goals such as against Man U and City. The Big Drog 1,110
Fantastic ability, all of the physical attributes you need to be a top player, very skillful, however in action he is the quintessential English footballer, wherein the individual takes precedence over the team unit. Considering the lack of spark and cutting edge in our team, it's not the worst thing in the world that he plays the way he does but in a more unit orientated side he wouldn't be tolerated. CHOULO19 24,332
I really didn't see much difference between his performance on the right and left wing. He made a couple of good dribbles on the left side, got behind the rightback, then disappeared completely in the second half. Typical Danny. Rambo 1,729
I don't see it. Unless he really wants out, Chelsea won't be selling him imo.
francozola 2,040
I don't see it. Unless he really wants out, Chelsea won't be selling him imo.Could see him insisting a move. He's been running his mouth all season about wanting to play as a striker. Every single interview he says that. It's so fucking annoying.Don't think there's any chance of us having him as our no. 1 striker, so he might decide to move.

incometax 116
he probably wants lampard type money. Not good enough for that, will never be a top draw cf, and never a winger. He may be good at times, but thats it hes just good, wont be great to take us to the next level. I really dont mind selling him for 15-20 mil in summer. Christ thats funded more than the half the money to bid for gaitain who is a natural winger and better.
Kieran. 6,317
Sturridge will be a great CF in the future, but I'm almost positive it won't be for us.
francozola 2,040
If the likes of jordan fucking henderson can be sold for 16mil, I don't see why we should settle for less than 22-25. He's English AND young so we should definitely get 20 at the very least.Knowing our board, they'll probably sell him for 7million
capriccioso 2,545
We'll see nothing like that. He's only got a year left on his contract. We'll be lucky to get 8 figures for him.Give him a new 5 year deal on current wages but with some preposterous clause, like after he plays 25 league games his wage rises to 150k, to ensure he signs it. Then send out some faxes to the bigger clubs around the continent and lets get shot of him for 25 million.I think he lacks the professionalism and consistency to become one of the best strikers in the world, he'll probably belong to the next highest category though. I forsee a future career trajectory somewhat more like Dimitar Berbatov or Nicolas Anelka rather than Thierry Henry or Andriy Shevchenko. It's Joe Cole all over again, isn't it? He's certainly good, perhaps at the peak of his career he should be earning within 80-100k but at this age he should be on no more than 50, and if he can't accept that, Man City is that way. capriccioso 2,545
How many 23 year olds earn that much except for the very best? Sturridge is ''only'' above average for his age. He hasn't peaked yet and I don't think he's done enough to deserve such money.
BlueLion. 21,491
Don't think I'd actually be that bothered. I'd much prefer someone who can pass, the only reason people show patience with him here is because he is English. capriccioso
