Mathieu Debuchy

Yes, we can say that but it's a matter of timing rather than height. He's a very good athlete, not only to repeat runs but also to win header with a great detente (is it the right word ? lol)

He's only 1.77m in fact

He ticks all the boxes for me. We got Bosingwa for a stupid price and we end up releasing him. Debuchy has been a revelation at the Euros and we can get him cheaper than £10m, why not, I hope we make a bid for him and him and Brana can rotate the RB position. With all respect to Newcastle, he surely would pick us over them. I hope we get Debuchy so we have 2 quality RB at the club. You would have thought France would of miss Sagna but with Debuchy's form at Euros he may find it hard to regain his place. Whoever gets this player has got him for a bargain for sure

Italian media claim Maicon's move to Chelsea has stalled over length of contract he wants at Stamford Bridge.

Aw, I reckon he'll still end up being the RB we sign as either the board or Maicon's agent will cave in...

Fair play to Newcastle for being able to get a player of Debuchy's calibre and I'm sure he will be great there. Disappointed we're not really even looking to buying him and instead are getting Maicon in his twilight years on much higher wages. Who knows, maybe he would opt to join his French buddies at Newcastle either way but wouldn't hurt to try.

Hulk looked like a done deal and now we dont know anything, same with Maicon, and maybe Oscar with those roummers about stalling the move for after the olympics...

i dont like it.

That's Chelsea, at the end we will sign Neymar and Ramos.

L'equipe seem to think Debuchy may stay for another season now.

At 10:22, translates roughly too:

Despite his desire to departure, Mathieu Debuchy (26 years) could well be forced to stay one year in Lille. According to our information, the LOSC, him seeking a replacement to the height from coach Rudi Garcia, would seek mainly to finalize the arrival of the young Trojan Defender Djibril Sidibe (19 years old). The term goal would be that the new take the place of the former after a season of "cohabitation and training". Even if Union leaders also appreciate Parisien Christophe Jallet, whose transfer seems impossible, they would prefer so now the solution internal
