Honestly, I think a big part of the appeal for Hazard is the fact that he won't have to shoulder so much of the load anymore. It won't have to be "give it to Hazard and hope for some magic." Life will be much easier for him there. He'll finally be surrounded by players of his ability and for a side that will show up on the pitch 99% of the time as the vastly superior team.
They'll probably completely refresh their attack this summer and be competing for the Liga title.

They are buying promising & potential trouble if rumours are to be believe. Going from Pedro & Willian to Lucas & Asensio isn't exactly a notable step up.

Simply having Marcelo on his flank will be massive for him. Imagine going from Alonso to Marcelo.

If they buy a new striker and a Bale replacement as they're rumored to be doing, opposing teams won't be able to simply focus all their attention on Eden. He has often been marked by 2-3 defenders here because opponents know he was our only true danger.

Again though, theres plenty life in the likes of Modric, Kroos and even Bale if they keep them fit (or dont get rid of them). Benzema is very inconsistent but in terms of a link up striker he is very good and Eden will thrive playing in tandem with him. They will be a lot better next season, they are undoubtedly gonna drop some serious cash this summer. Eden will be more productive I would imagine but hes never gonna score 30 goals a season regardless which is what they need . They arent in good shape this season but they are still a better team than we are in terms of the quality they have in their squad and will probably sign much much better quality players than we will in the summer.

You might be right about Kroos - as he's only 29 - but Modric turns 34 later this year and Zidane has been absolutely doing his best in pretending Bale doesn't exit. Has been leaving him out of games and giving non-committed answers when asked about his future.

They will splash the cash but there's gonna be a limit to it or otherwise, they will land themselves in FFP trouble - whether that thing is even legit these days is another issue - and it's too easy to say they will get better next year just because of the spending. They will likely get better results but whether they will challenge for the league or Champions League again remain to be seen. Zidane has hardly been pulling any trees since his return.

There have been rumors that Marcelo might leave in the summer.

Nice going forward (Marcelo was rumoured to have sign for Juve). Who's going to defend, though?

I personally think this is move will either be the making (Ballon d'Or worthy) or the breaking of him tbh. People here have complained about inconsistency, so imagine the Madrid crowd.

The grass isn't always greener, just ask Coutinho.

Looks quite embarrassing for the club to have made Eden the star of the new media campaign. Face of the new kit launch, plastered all over the outside of the Bridge in the new kit, etc.

They've known he wants out for a while. Hell, so did he so I wonder why he'd agree to do it.

Like I said earlier we are run like a corner store not a proper 2 billion corporation

Or ask Alexis Sanchez...

I can't see any way Eden fails. He may not improve per se, but he will at least maintain his current level which is obviously world class. Can't see him pulling a Coutinho who he's far better than.

Ironically, I think Hazard would be a far better fit at Barca than he would at Madrid.

He may maintain his level but can he perform consistently week in week out? Those Madrid media and fans will jump on him if he doesn't.

I don't mind letting him go, Arsenal and Liverpool both survived their star players leaving however we should still get what his, worth. In a word were Pulisic costs 60 million we better get double that for a top 5 player in world football regardless of his contract situation. Imagine if he had 4 years on his contract he would be worth over 250 million

Similar stats won't cut it in La Liga. Not to mention turning up on a regular basis too.

I agree. This move will probably end Vinicius' Madrid career before it's begun. Got to have those nice shirt sales, though.

Even though I despise Real Madrid, I hope he does. Hazard is a genuinely good guy and I want to see him succeed there. And I think he will be a Ballon D'Or finalist soon enough.

True but Madrid were shocking before Zizou came back in.

Regarding Modric, he isnt a player who hugely relies on physical qualities either and hasnt showed any huge signs of slowing down so I think in a team where theres a Casemiro he will be fine. Maybe he will see his minutes reduced or his role changed like Xavi and Iniesta had at Barca too. If they sell Bale theyll definitely be going for another big attacker then as well, Mbappe perhaps? Would be a difficult move but theres no doubt they can pull it off. If they sell a few players off, like rumoured (Bale, Cellabos, Mariano, Llorente, Vazquez) on top of say 250 or 300m or whatever they will likely splash, they wont be overly fussed about FFP.

<_< Similar stats (16 G, 15 A) would put Hazard in second place in overall goal contributions(G+A) in La liga, only behind Messi.

Also on the inconsistency talk, if Hazard is so inconsistent what exactly does that make all the other attacking players in the PL then ?

Are the likes of Salah, Mané, Sterling, Silva, Aguero, ... so shit that an inconsistent Hazard, that apparently regularly doesn't show up, still manages to be directly involved in more goals then all of them ?

That's so weird because i remember some people on here talking about how amazing all these other players were. How much better they were then Hazard yet they can't seem to beat an inconsistent Eden Hazard in goal contributions over an entire PL season ?

Kinda strange no ? It almost seems like Hazard actually is a consistent performer.

I'll take the start of your username and look no further.

La Liga has been devoid of any competition for the majority of the season.

Salah & Mane won the Golden boot playing as wingers, Salah is one goal involvement off Hazard and was missing for 2 months~. Do you want me to go on?

Any "Chelsea fan" that watches the team on a regular basis know Hazard's flaws and have echoed them above. Is it a coincidence he's never been in the bracket for the Ballon d'Or or are those glasses covered?

You can take the start of my username and go shove it up your ass if you like.

You said "similar stats aren't going to cut it in la liga" Now suddenly it's "well La liga has been devoid of competition" So clearly that's BS.

Also is the PL devoid of competition aswell ? as Hazard has the most goal contributions then anyone else in the PL.

Congratz to them. They both still have less goal contributions then "inconsistent" Hazard.

Mo Salah 37 appearances 1 sub 3262 minutes.

Eden hazard  32 appearance 5 sub 2926 minutes.

So Salah played 300 more minutes then Hazard in the PL.

"Do you want me to go on?" Please do smartass because you're full of shit.
