petre.ispirescu 4,928
Well, players can't vote for their teammates. So...I know, but they could have gone for someone with no chance of winning it, like JT did, not with one of Sanchez's direct competitors. Jase 43,479
How do you know who they voted for?http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3056146/Eden-Hazard-backed-Arsenal-duo-Danny-Welbeck-Mikel-Arteta-PFA-Player-Year-award.htmlEden Hazard is hot favourite to be crowned PFA Player of the Year and the Chelsea star can count on the support of Arsenal's Danny Welbeck and Mikel Arteta.Hazard is heavily odds-on with the bookmakers after leading Chelsea’s charge for a first title in five years and scoring 18 goals in all competitions with Welbeck effusive in his praise for the Belgian star. 'I voted for Eden Hazard,' Welbeck told the official Arsenal match programme. 'I just love watching the way he plays, the way he influences games. He's always a dangerous player at any time of the game, anywhere on the pitch. 'He can make that difference and since he has come to the Premier League he has got better every year. He keeps getting better, and this season he's been top class. I had to vote for him.' Hazard, who was named in the PFA Premier League team of the year, was also voted the best player in the league by Welbeck's Arsenal team-mate Mikel Arteta. Arteta said: 'Eden Hazard is an important player for Chelsea, and this season he has been the difference in most games for them. His consistency has been unbelievable and that's why I voted for him as the PFA Player of the Season – I'm obviously not allowed to vote for a team-mate.' Almost everyone with a bigger scoring impact was a pure striker.Only Ronaldo and Bale with his wonder season could be comparable. He beats almost every other midfielder on that list. bababoom and DYC.
HRiver 1,512
Deserves it, has been sublime all season. In his first two seasons here he more or less underperformed, but not in this one. Just a really good season all around.
Popular Post! DYC. 7,542 Posted April 27, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted April 27, 2015 Eden Hazard statistically among the worst PFA Player of the Year winners in the last 20 yearshttp://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/eden-hazard-statistically-among-the-worst-pfa-player-of-the-year-winners-in-the-last-20-years-10207010.htmlI'm not familiar with Independent. Are they considered reputable as a paper? This is horrible. Comparing an attacking midfielder, a player that creates space and chances with strikers and finishers.Lampard scored 16 goals and provided 9 assists in 05/06, and won the league (not just winning the league, but winning it a second time in a row). Yet Gerrard won with 10 goals and 5 assists. I'm sure there were no complaints or questioning of his quality then. Robbery!Drogba scored 29 goals and provided 10 assists in 09/10, and won the league. Yet Rooney won with 26 goals and 3 assists. Same story. Robbery!Bale played behind the striker in 12/13, scoring 21 goals and providing 4 assists, finishing outside of the top 4. The difference in goals+assists compared to Hazard is 4. Yet Bale was hailed as if he was the new Ronaldo. And don't get me started on Bale and Giggs winning in 08/09 and 10/11.There are 5 games left. Hazard should be able to manage two goals and two assists, bringing his total to 15 goals and 10 assists in the league. A fine return.Hazard might not be not the most impressive POTY winner as an individual, but he is the star player of a side that has dominated the league from start to finish. Never disappearing. That says a lot more than goals and assists. And there is still more to come with Hazard. manpe, bababoom, Ainsley Harriott and 3 others

Tchekitchek 37
There are a lot for hate toward him... the weird thing is the gap of opinion between professionals (actual players and pundits) who think he is top class (which he is) and non-professionals (well, people) who think he is an overhyped nobody. The weird thing is, despite the fact he is the most talented player of the (eventual) champion of the (arguably) strongest league and has been voted POTY, it's probably his least bombastic season I've seen from him. His hardest working but least impressive season. In every seasons he scored tons of screamers, in this one, not so much. The most impressive would be his last season at Lille. If Chelsea can get a CAM (or move Hazard to CAM and get a LW) and RW that can play to his style and can take attention sea from Eden his numbers will go way up. I think since Jose insists on a rigid system of attack and defense Eden will be a bit hemmed in
