Jesus, guys. The way you're talking about Schurrle I'd swear you were talking about a player who's complete shit like Jenkinson from Arsenal. Is he really that bad?

Noo, dont get me wrong, he is good, fans wont be disapointed.

But if you comsider all the factors it is a bit concercing.

1- Sturr is english, so no adaptation problems

2- No 20m fee, so no FFP problem

3- We would not strenghen a rival

4- Probably has a lower wage

5- At last, he is a better overall player imo.

hope so, Sturridge is a very special guy. He has all the physical attributes and the instincts to make it to the top, even become our main striker ( technically he is ages ahead of Lukaku) and IMO he fits the club with his talent and his bit of swagger but he needs to improve his attitude. This is the Chelsea Family, we educate players, we shape their characters, not veryone belongs here, we do not buy every averge, English (pool), skinny French (Arsenal) or half decent (Spurs) player, we select and make them prosper. Seldom a player leaves Chelsea in the middle of his career, u either don't make it here or u make it here and stay with us. Chelsea is not just a club, like a Family its a socialization. That is why there is no better place for Sturridge than here to become a complete player and professional.

guys lets look at this like this. haven`t the club been making shrewd sensible decisions lately?

i think they have for a while now. if it don`t make sense to you and me then i`m guessing it don`t make sense to the board either..only reason i can see Sturridge going is if he demands a move which if he has then you`d think the ball would have started rolling a while before now..i don`t think it`s Shurrle to replace Sturridge atall..i think some of the old veterans are more likely to leave. i wouldn`t entirely rule out sturridge leaving but i`m about 90% sure he`ll be with us past this window closing regardless of who we bring in if it`s anyone atall.

I have to agree man. Bar the Lukaku signing, our board has signed extremely well-balanced, cohesive players that have fit into our team's mold. Mata and Hazard are the two most expensive signings from the last three windows, and they have been nothing short of brilliant. If the board make a "big" deadline day signing, I have faith that it will probably be a player that we can expect to fill some role that Robbie can foresee a need for.

Personally, I don't think Schurrle will be that player. We already brought in Moses, a right-sided, technically skilled winger. We have Sturridge and Ramires who can also play on the right, even if they are squares to that circle.

most of our AMs esp marin and Oscar but also hazard and mata can play on either right wing, anyway Schürrle is rather a left sided attacker, as his strengths are his shooting, finishing and cutting in with pace. Don't want him too, but if Roman does... I am actually quite sure we will sign a player on deadlin day, but it could also be one for the reserve/yoth team
