sdrcfc 461
Would anyone prefer a straight swap for Cavani instead?
MrExcalibur100 7,124
Jason Cundy just retweeted Ashton's article and he NEVER does that. Perhaps this could be a major sign that it's happening. Maybe the Mail's price is wrong, but anything from 30 million pounds up and it's a fantastic deal.
LDN Blue 7,903
If true, just shows how much clubs are willing to pay for ball-playing defenders. Not a critique on Mourinho, all managers have their own tactics and philosophies, but it makes me think if we played in a way Luiz is best utilized what would we have witnessed. Ah well.. It's good to see we're capable of making good profit on players. Mata, De Bryune now Luiz.. Hope the replacement doesn't cost us an arm and leg. LDN Blue 7,903
Would anyone prefer a straight swap for Cavani instead? Not really.. if we're getting £50m on transfer only we could use that more efficiently and value players more accurately. With a straight swap our opportunity cost could be higher. MrExcalibur100 7,124
Even Di Marzio is reporting it as well. This one is happening guys!! Hard to believe the insane sum though. Even I will be shy of accepting that type of money, if true. PSG are destroying the market. Just to think we bought Hazard for 32 million just 2 seasons ago. It's my opinion that Luiz will suffer the same problems if he was at City or Liverpool. Luiz has already shown he can't handle the physicality and directness of the league. And it's not just about the PL, it's a certain style of football that Luiz is not comfortable playing. He will struggle in Atletico Madrid as well because they actually do some serious defending for fairly large stretches in games.I only see Luiz being a WC defender at the following teams: PSG, Bayern and Barca. Teams that completely dominate possession in their respective leagues from minute 1 to 90. He will be absolutely amazing in these teams. Ironically, these are the exact same teams that have shown serious interest. darrus and LDN Blue
blu35_army 551
Almost a done deal #PSG..50 milion. If this is true please sell him. 50 milion wow.looks like 50 millions is 30 fee + 20 wages, more make sense...but if 50 mil is only the fee transfer,,then Luke Shaw deserved 30 mil Fernando

It will be good to see Luiz become that player because he's got the potential and he's gifted enough to do so! Just hope the pay we get will match said figures. sdrcfc 461
If Jose manages to sell Luiz, then he'll have made a near 90m from two reserve players.
Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
There is no way a club hit with FFP sanctions can pull off a deal of this magnitude...or at least not at this moment in time. Would be a bad image for PSG and defeat any hopes of future favorable decisions going their way in regards to Uefa. HOWEVER if the sum was including wages and stuff then i guess its alright... He could fetch them around 25 million on his own.

Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
It could be true indeed. That cunt has a lot of sources close to the clubYou really believe that? PSG just got sanctioned by UEFA there is no way they're going to spend £50m on a player weeks after getting slapped. Silly season people, in about two weeks you'll forget this rumour was even mentioned. Henrique and kellzfresh

Sky bets have closed betting on it, so it has some huge wings. PSG will obviously be looking to offload Marquinhos. He alone will fetch a lot of dough. They will have Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, David Luiz and Alex, which is one too many. Marquinhos, for all his potential is still pretty raw and PSG are probably now looking for more ready-made players. If they get 20-25 million for Marquinhos, then it's good business for them. And they also have other valuable, sellable assets too. Lavezzi, Rabiot, Pastore and so on.
