Ivanovic made two worse mistakes last season against Swansean and few people said bad words about him.

one bad day cant be compared to several bad days. read my post and reply to zolayes after the first one. i bring up the same exact iva incident, saying the same exact thing.

Bosnian wannabe, the mistake his made against Norwich wasnt bigger than the one Terry made in that Norwich goal. Just saying...

I'm accounting both for the goal conceded but whether one is bigger than the other in terms of mistake, doesn't matter. Still a mistake regardless.

What? Luiz hasn't made a mistake that has led to a goal in a long time. This is his first proper bad game in about a year, and you're questioning why we didn't sell him to Barca for £35m? Ridiculous.

oh!!! we must have seen different everton vs chelsea and norwich vs chelsea games.

also on a very very different side note, u actually believe luiz is worth 35mil? hazard was 32 mil, mata was 23, ozil is 42 and luiz is 35!!!!!!????

Ball watching (along with Terry) when the ball came in and wasn't even aware of Pilkington behind him. It's a goal that could and should have been prevented had it been defended better.

It's absolutely ridiculous to blame the goals we conceded versus both teams completely on Luiz, that's my point.

Okay, I can accept that he could've done better on both goals but to completely ignore his performances in both games (which were both pretty decent) and to say that based on one proper bad game in a long time that we should've sold him to Barcelona is ridiculous.

Please tell me you know I did not even imply that at all.

whats the point of a great performance after giving away a goal? the everton goal was a poor mistake, an amateurish mistake of trying to steal the ball with mikel and schurlle around the everton player and then leaving his position. the everton goal was his mistake.

the norwich goal is a bad example of what i want to say. luiz giftts goal to the opposition. the norich goal was an acceptable mistake where he probably dint expect the ball from van wolsddjsdjsh (whatever). and so he was a second slower to react. but the everton goal and today's goal are literal gifts to the opposition which adds even more pressure to an already extremely pressurised MID.

also how does seling luiz to barca for 35 frigging million become such a TABOO that u r reacting this way. for 35 mil we can probably get hummels+subotic.also u r reacting as if luiz is irreplacable or something, i dont think thats the case in any way.

Why would we want Hummels and Subotic when Luiz has been outperforming both of them since last year?

wow... luiz has been outperforming the CL finalists darkhorses. also i would say one of the best CB pair in the world, right now!!! (cant think of any other better)

Maybe we should sell all our players and buy Borussia team, they were the CL finalists afterall.

So the bad pass from Cech is ignored, the mis-control from Ramires is ignored, the fact that JT lost his man and left Ivanovic with even more on his plate is ignored... It was a bad team goal, and it really is ridiculous to blame the whole goal on Luiz. You obviously have some sort of hatred for him.

Bollocks, sorry. Okay in the last few games Luiz could've done better but before that you're going to have to go a long way back before finding Luiz gifting the opposition goals. If Luiz was such a liability and if he was so bad today why didn't Jose take him off? Why didn't Jose just shift Ivanovic to CB and throw on Azpilicueta? Why did Benitez say Luiz is one of the best CBs in the world?

It doesn't make sense, sorry. If Hummels and Subotic were really available for that much (which I highly doubt to begin with, I don't even know how you could even suggest that you'd want Hummels to replace Luiz when he is even more "error prone" and goal gifting) then why didn't Barcelona just go for one of them instead of trying to go for Luiz?

Your hatred for Luiz is just ridiculous tbh.

Very bad game, yeah, but it's his first bad game for us since last December! And now everyone on social media and even some of the experts are saying that he's had an "awful start to the season" after ONE bad game

He has had a poor start in the league. He's only had 2 tackles in 4 games compared to 12 fouls committed. He's won 52% of his duels which compares poorly to Terry's 69% and Cahill 79%. He's been dribbled by the other team 5 times in 4 games. Cahill and Terry have been dribbled by a combined 4 times in 12 games. He's won a total of 3 headers. Cahill has won 18. Terry has won 31. That is an insane difference. Terry has 59 clearances, Cahill has 21 and Luiz has 11. Across the board, his numbers have stunk this year. Squwaka and whoscored both have Luiz as easily our worst defender in the league this season and our worst or second worst player overall along with Torres. And yes, numbers can be misleading but when they're that bad (Wilian has as many tackles as Luiz..., 3 won headers in 4 games for a 6 foot 2 central defender?? That's embarrassing ) there's really no argument.

That said, we've seen enough of Luiz over the years to know that he is a very good defender (and he's been very good in the CL so far) and a poor few games isn't going to change that. People always tend to overreact to a bad stretch of games when you have a vastly more important sample size that says something else. He should probably sit next game but Chelsea is generally a better team when he's in the starting XI.
