EskWeston 696
carlo mentioned something about manciennes future being decided this week ...possibly carvs departure has given a place for michael ..hope soIt is possible for sure, but with Carlo also confirming that Bruma will be involved this season can we have both of them around for the CB position? I am not sure..................

I am not sure..................But Carlo seems to want to mould Bruma into a right back. Even in the community shied.. We expect Ivanovic to be shifted to the right and Bruma to partner Terry but instead the reverse happened.

No idea why he was moved there during the CS, i guess the logic may have been he will less vulnerable at right back, but he needs to be playing at Centre back where he is most comfortable. Mart 29
I guess he was moved there because it was easier to contain Nani than Berbatov+Hernandez. It was against Man Utd after all. I would not expect him out at RB except in strange circumstances.. Like when we have to resort to playing Ferreira there
Slam Dunk 1,442
Anyone noticed the web polls on the official site? Last one was based on the priority for a new signing, the new one is who should fill the 4th CB spot (new signing/youth). I wonder how much the outcome is taken into consideration. Randall 315
To be honest, this kid is going to be one of the best centre backs in the world, reminds me a lot of puyol. I'd really like to sign him but if not I just hope Man Shitty don't get him.
We Hate Scouse 10,326
Thank god for that!! No David Luiz!!
Randall 315
According to Ancelotti - not interested. Oh well. Let's hope someone in our defence gains some speed in the coming weeks then to compensate for JT being slower than an inanimate object. chrismada9 1,948
Looks like we're going to see more of Jeffrey Bruma this season then. I'm not complaining about that, I just hope he can be as good as David Luiz, and that we're not going to feel like we're saying no to another potential world class defender. eldo 868
I have felling that Bruma could also be one of the best defenders. He played well against Ukraine. He really is mixture of Terry and Carvalho, just like he was described when he was scouted. He made big leap, from playing mostly for youth team last season and only 112 minutes of first team football to debut for Dutch squad. He only needs to gain toughnes with playing.I do think that by signing Luiz we would delay Bruma's breakthrough. Let's hope someone in our defence gains some speed in the coming weeks then to compensate for JT being slower than an inanimate object.Ivanovic is pretty fast but he needs a little time to reach full speed. Not as pacey as Riccy was in his prime though. Bruma too has good speed for a CB. But he's not ready yet. What our CB's do lack is agility (Bruma has good agility but again, not ready yet) and we don't have a real reader of the game. But defenders who really read the game are fading away quikly. Now it's all physical.
