NiclasCFC 2,582
So, 'Arry is staying? If Hodgson and the FA agree on a deal yes
Kojo 4,676
Shit this isn't good, because Spurs players might settle now because it's almost definite Harry isn't going to be the next England manager.
Laylabelle 9,534
Yeah their trouble started when the rumours started...Bit of a random choice but guess they're realising they're running out of time.
zolayes 14,489
Yeah their trouble started when the rumours started...Bit of a random choice but guess they're realising they're running out of time.there is always Grant and Fat WASTER
Laylabelle 9,534
Think Grant have a hard time doing England job...cant get anyone relegated and does pretty well at that
Jase 43,479
Woy to win EURO 2012 with Wengland.
Ollie 4,400
Shocking, almost like the Clough scenario back in the day. Redknapp, for all he has done in the Premiership over the years is the best candidate in my opinion and probably everyone elses. Hodgson has a 38% win ratio with WBA, was sacked by Liverpool after a few months and relegated Blackburn in 1999. The FA have chose a cheap option and the one that no one expected. Maybe Harry secretly said he doesn't want it yet, i dunno. I wish him good luck tho.
dave30 728
the fa are incompetent cunts they can never do anything right. One simple task get Harry if they decide to take another arrogant risk on a gaffer no one wants it will be a joke.
bababoom 4,478
I don't think anyone from the FA read the papers, or watch TV...Seeing as Harry is 'loved' by the media this wont go down well if Roy is our manager, i think he'll get slated by the media before his first match. Billy. 2,742
no disresepct to Roy but i dont think hes good enough for the job hes a good manager but not an England manager imo
Spike 12,049
Haha, England get your shit together. Why is there always a colossal screw up before a major tournament?Another thing annoys me, at any other country in the world Matt Le Tissier would have been capped more than 8 times. Mr. Ziggles 110
And they wonder why we can't win a freakin' tournament. Nope, not even the Euros. Just one World Cup in 1966. Bobby Moore would be ashamed. Just get a damn manager already and prepare for the tournament. You know what? Forget it, I'm a GB supporter this summer. I'll watch the Euros chanting "COME ON ENGLAND!!" but I know Team GB has a realistic chance of winning the Olympics in Footy.
Fulham Broadway 17,312
Hodgson is probably seen by the FA as the 'safe' option..The FA is largely composed of posh well paid old farts that know fuck all about the game, and dont want their sensibilities ruffled by anyone with 'character', or who stands up for themselves. If we take the 'Terry incident' -Woy would go along with everything they say -rather than that 'stubborn' Italian.Bottom line is also -England are nothing more than a Quarter final team at best, so it doesnt really matter
capriccioso 2,545
EURO 12 sounds a right laugh then. As a rule, us antipodeans root for English national teams, no matter what the sport, to fail
Ollie 4,400
He's managed national teams before, managed Switzerland in USA 94 and apparently did very well with Finland too and someone else, he's managed all over the world, he does show a lot of passion on the sidelines and managed the likes of Inter & Liverpool so you never know. He has a lot of experience and maybe, just maybe this will prove to be a very shrewd move. He seems more like an international manager than a club manager. Yid fans must be over the moon btw.I'm not saying it's the best choice but at least he has seen it and done it in international football. Arry asn't. There's no substitute for experience in football.
