Turkey is NATO

all of NATO would be treaty-bound to parking lot the country (Syria)

Yeah I know mate, been there for 6 years ( Nato ). Still does not mean other countries have to follow suit. If its the wrong move then they wont do shit regarding joining in. THis was a bad move by Erdogan, one he may come to regret. Iran and Russia is still in Syria. You cant just attack and invade part of a country just cuz you believe there is a security risk ( there aint none ). Kurds have no power to fuck Turkey up, if anything kurds inside Turkey are a much higher risk. Its BS is what it is mate, and it could easily escalate if Assad fires back.

Turkey has been in NATO since 1952

The Cuban Missile Crisis was over the US deployment of PGM-19 Jupiter nuclear missiles in Turkey (and Italy) so the Союз Советских Социалистических Республик (CCCP aka USSR) retaliated by trying to put R-14 Chusovaya nukes in Cuba

As for the other NATO countries not doing anything, au contraire. The key section of the treaty is Article 5. Its commitment clause defines the casus foederis. It commits each member state to consider an armed attack against one member state, in Europe or North America, to be an armed attack against them all.

Collective defence - Article 5

https://www.nato.int/cps/en/natohq/topics_110496.htm

The principle of collective defence is at the very heart of NATO’s founding treaty. It remains a unique and enduring principle that binds its members together, committing them to protect each other and setting a spirit of solidarity within the Alliance.

Article 5

https://www.nato.int/cps/en/natolive/official_texts_17120.htm

The Parties agree that an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all and consequently they agree that, if such an armed attack occurs, each of them, in exercise of the right of individual or collective self-defence recognised by Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area.

Any such armed attack and all measures taken as a result thereof shall immediately be reported to the Security Council. Such measures shall be terminated when the Security Council has taken the measures necessary to restore and maintain international peace and security .

Yeah but this time its  Nato member attacking....and not the other way around. You cant just attack another country just cause you feel like it or on shady basis and then expect your friends will come helping. It doesnt work like that, and certainly not now. If Assad fires back then Nato will swiftly try to find a solution for Peace, and not immediately join the fight and bombard Syria........if it escalates after that then yes you are right. WHats written in a piece of paper is one thing, joining a war that likely will show to be a big mistake is another. They will try to solve it first, then act if needed......anything other and its bad for business and rep. Thats my experience anyway.
