I just rewatched the highlights you can see Meireles saying please ref please ref please ref when he knew he was about to get booked. I don't see why they can't be a bit more lenient or yellows wiped out for the final. Doesn't make sense.

I know, but i think the referee has to treat it like a proper game though you need to understand that. But the thing is he still didn't, infact he was much more harsh, he was almost like Chris Foy in the QPR away game. Ivanovic's and Cech's yellows prove that.

That will only happen in the moment though for me, not if we start the game like that. Plus Bayern will build around it, Barca didn't have the time to.

We should be getting more chances to attack in the final but if we can shut them down on the flanks, we would have basically shut half of their team down IMO. Need to have the same work ethic and discipline from yesterday in the final.

Guys, we need to start playing Sturridge.

Our team lacks flair, we need that attacking player to be world class, he needs to get on form and working for this team.

Great Point, their missing a chunk of their defense and a player like Sturridge can punish you. I hope we give him time to get his form back 1 on 1 he normally beats you, and with Drogba on the other end we have a good chance to get on the end of it.

God Cech's yellow, so glad that never mattered, imagine losing him for the final. Ivanovic's was ridiculous though, I don't see why they can't be wiped out.

Sturridge is one of the most underrated dribblers, if he can do what he did to United and Netherlands (two big examples i can remember), then we do have a lot more of a chance.

IF Sturridge can stop being selfish and help out the team better defensively, I'm sure he would be starting regularly under RDM but it does seem that he's not getting that after being dropped recently judging by his display against Arsenal!

Haha, we got different answers then. Would be good if he can't make it, and Breno is a wreck. If Tymoschuk has to play there they'll probably go with Schweinsteiger and Kroos with Muller/Ribery/Robben ahead of them.

If that is the case it's a very attack minded midfield. For all the issues of finding a replacement for Badstubber, their biggest loss may well be Guztavo as it could really affect the balance of their midfield and play into Mata's hands.

Guys you must not underestimate Bayern.They were clearly the better team in both legs against Real and that's saying a lot.The only positive thing is that they also have three key players out for the final.
