Sorry to say this on a Chelsea forum again, but I genuinely feel bad for him now. He works so fucking hard and it's just over and out. If he's forced to retire, I'd kick Wilmots out and make him NT manager in a heartbeat. He's this generation's Ledley King. Brilliant defender but he'll continue to be plagued. Perhaps I hold King in a higher regard, but that's on a personal preference more than anything. But, like King, Kompany will go down as one of the potentially best who's career of injuries blighted an otherwise great record. johnnythefirst and petre.ispirescu

I don't think he'll get it though. That's why I want to see him lead the national team should he retire. Image they make it. I'd cry like a bitch. Best story ever. Well I wouldn't go that far , but yeah it would be good for someone like that to get a taste of the big time glory. I don't think he'll see City win the CL tbh, who knows how patient Guardiola is willing to be with him. He trusts his players through injury, but Komany is someone he's not yet all too familiar with. They're already linked to buying Laporte, who himself is sidelined with a broken leg until October.

I don't know how many years he's still under contract but they can't risk losing a defender after 5 minutes in every big match...

Incredible to think the sums they've spent on the calibre of player and they still can't fill in for him. Mangala, Otamendi, Savic, Nastasic, Boateng, Demichelis etc We've wasted our fair share of talent, but that's a list of centre backs alone RoyalBlues

But hey, they buy so many expensive players, fans are used to this, lol.

You can just see it now, if they win the EL (beating Sevilla too, the 2/2 champions) they'll use the back story of overcoming Dortmund and Villarreal. Then they'll find a way to include Hillsborough and for the entire summer all you have to hear is how the myth of the "famous of European nights at Anfield" will return in the Champions League . Hope Sevilla go on to win it anyway, would be incredible if they can make it 5 in 5 3 in 3 years!

Nothing would make me happier than hearing the collective groans followed by moments of silence in disbelief at the utter shit that's on show. Those supporters deserve only that and I hope Villareal give it to them.

They've won 4 total, 2 in 2006 and 2007 and 2 in 2014 and 2015. That's probably where. Looking at the winners, there's more reason to not want Liverpool to win it. They would tie Sevilla for number of wins at 4. LDN Blue
Special Juan 28,141
Steve McManaman was fucking seething about Liverpool losing to the yellow men last week and he still is now, I hope they get knocked out and shut this curly haired one dimensional cunt up. nyikolajevics 2,698
Feyenoord won the Dutch cup two weeks ago, ex-Southampton player Elia decided to make a memento. Only his his teams name(Fenenoord :D) and the date(april instead of may) was mistaken. Good job.
Fernando 6,585
This is why I wanted to see against Sevilla as they have the experience to see things out. Villarreal is just too light.
