OneMoSalah 8,886
so the championship player of the (not just ANY PLAYER in championship) is not good enough to be our 3rd striker!!! seriously. morgan schneiderlein was apparently a league 1 or league 2 player some years ago, right now, each of us would want him in our team.also, lets look at it this way. kdb , bought for 6, sold for 17. profit of 11mil. chelsea buys one creative player in cesc for 30mil. chelsea fans currently are cribbing for some quality creative signing which should cost us 20mil. if we dont make that signing, i dont see us winning cl (at max a semi) and may even lose PL. so theres that 20mil difference again. so as i see it, we might have made a profit for the sake of the numbers. but in reality, we are making losses by not using them for the club's benefit.Championship player, championship player o the year... doesn't make a difference its a totally different level. Morgan Schneiderlin played for Southampton and went up the levels with them, so what? Not everyone is Morgan Schneiderlin or Harry Kane (who if he hadn't had that season last year nobody would be too bothered about Bamford not being in the squad). Leif 6,006
someone should push somebody over, this isn't acceptable. recall him now before he plays an official game and re-loan him
lionsden 4,689
A poorly thought out loan move rears its ugly head again. I'm willing to bet he will not start more than 4 games at best all season.

I'm willing to bet he will not start more than 4 games at best all season. If he can't force his way in ahead of Wickham and Campbell (two painfully averages strikers) then he won't make it here and won't deserve too either. If he's a good as we hope he will be/is he will e above those clowns from minute one. Sir Mikel OBE 4,920
Could potentially be a Mceacheran at Swanea type of move with Sigurdsson obviously being a much better player.

On the top of my head there's Campbell and Wickham who are rubbish and Gayle who isn't very good either but has had his reputation enhanced by doing a bit of Liverpool bashing.Have i missed anyone because honestly I'll back Bamford to get in ahead of them 3. Leif 6,006
You can't really break through as loan player, though, unless there's an option to buy. Managers always prefer the players they have around for the long term.
Tomo 21,751
There's also Chamakh...Same as Wickham, Bamford should walk in ahead of those options, Gayle is the only even remote threat in my eyes.

And Leif has a point with what he said above.P.S. Forgot to mention they also have Glenn Murray.
We Hate Scouse 10,326
If Bamford wants to make it here he has to show his worth and make his way in to the first team. Pardew is no mug, if Bamford shows himself in training he'll be played.

I would be shocked if, when the pressure is on, Bamford gets the continual nod over him.Hell even in Kane's situation it only really turned out the way it did because Adebayor COMPLETELY went off pace and Soldado never fit in this league. Managers always prefer the players they have around for the long term. Long term is an overused cliche in football, very few manager's think past the here and now when setting up their squads for the season. If Bamford is better than what they have got, he will play, just like Sturridge did at Bolton.I mean if say for argument sake Tibo wanted to go Real Madrid and we strike a one more year then were let you go deal (like Fergie did with Ronaldo and Gerrard with Suarez) would we start using Begovic just because he will still be around next season? No, were make the most of the 2nd best keeper in the world while we still have him and worry about his replacement when he's actually gone. Wickham is crap, he has a mini run of form in 4/5 games every season but bar that is useless.Put it this way if Bamford was owned by MK Dons then Boro then signed for Palace couldn't get in ahead of Wickham, Campbell and Chamakh and someone here suggests signing him the person in question would be laughed at.
