DDA 9,938
We would be dumb crazy to sell KDB toany club and not bring him home for next season. I wanted him here this season but maybe the extra season on loan has made his overall game stronger. Sell him to Bayern and you can all go fuck yourselves! Popular Post! Leif 6,006 Posted March 18, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted March 18, 2013 •De Bruyne currently in general is better than Schurrle in my opinion. He has a higher ceiling than Schurrle. He is more versatile (it would seem) than Schurrle. •Schurrle however is a really good player with the potential to become a 'great' for whichever club he goes to. He works tirelessly, seems humble, can play anywhere in attack and tracks back far better than De Bruyne. •De Bruyne is the better passer, and I'd say they're around equal when it comes to their abilities to finish off chances. •De Bruyne is also a good set-piece taker, something I wouldn't credit Schurrle with having. This is something our current team lacks (although I'm sure if Hazard was taking free-kicks that opinion would change a bit.) •Schurrle seems like less of a 'rough' diamond and more like a consistent self-made player who'll carry his talent well wherever he goes. De Bruyne looks like the kind of player who'll be average here under the likes of Benitez (who'll really hopefully be gone after this season), Di Matteo, AVB etc. He, like Hazard, needs an incredible manager to unlock that equally incredible potential. Under a manager like Mourinho, the sky would be the limit for Kevin. •De Bruyne is more likely to play for his national team on a consistent basis meaning he'd continue developing even when he's away from Chelsea. There's also the fact that he'd build more chemistry with Hazard & Lukaku. So it comes down to apples & oranges really, and this is the sort of situation where having a stable, steady, long-term manager would ease a potential headache. Edit: De Bruyne also has an incredible amount of vision. Amongst the top 10 midfielders in world football surely when it comes to this trait. Pin-point passes of any length plus an ability to predict where a team-mate will be. Isn't this something special, especially at his age? Mundaka 243
Well he sure looks spectacular like that but he would'nt get the same amount of key passes / dribbles per game at chelsea tho, although then again his passing % and crossing % would be higher here... so dunno how good that comparison is. Still amazing stats
ja1 1,166
Kevin De Bruyne is in the top 5 in the Bundesliga for assists (8), key passes (66) & accurate crosses (57) this term. kellzfresh

LukakutoStamford 779
He's the distributing playmaker for the Belgian NT. He reminds me of Paul Scholes (ginger comparisons aside) and his long ball accuracy is reminiscent of David Beckham. He's not the FK specialist that Beckham was (then again outside of Renaldo and a few others who is) but he's top class when it comes to crosses and 40 yard+ balls. Still amazing stats Exactly. Anyone expecting to reproduce those sorts of numbers for Chelsea needs to be more realistic. Offensive stats are, in a large part, about usage. Players that have the offense run through them will always put up much better stats. De Bruyne is not coming to Chelsea to play the same role he plays at Bremen. Mata plays that role and he along with Hazard are going to get most of our stats because most of the offense is rightly going to run through them. He's going to be the 3rd or 4th attacking midfielder and he's going to have to adapt his game to Chelsea rather than the other way around. He's incredibly skilled and versatile and I'm excited about what he might be able to bring to our squad, but people need to keep their expectations in check. Peace.
juko 19
he has incredible power for his age. he has all a player what must have. but in national team he 's not good but step by step kevin
Leif 6,006
Good point made up there ^^ He's actually quite like Paul Scholes when you think about it. Scholes is credited as an awful tackler, but that hasn't stopped him from playing in deep positions and being one of the best ever Premier League playmakers, has it? He just needs someone good to play beside him!
