He is shite but I guess in this system we can afford to keep him as starter till the end of the season. 

If there is a good CB option available in the winter, someone like Romagnoli, we shouldn't resist buying him. Would be perfect for that position.

Would really love an upgrade for him, but obviously difficult in many regards. He is in a system that is working and we are getting wins, so it is hard to drop a player for that. Also, who is there out there available at the moment? 

Hate to say it, but Koulibaly would be a dream next to Luiz. Both are so strong and good on the ball. Not to mention that they are lightning quick for CBs.

I gave him some dues thinking he had pulled his sox up but sorry its time to say ta ra to Gazza. He was along with Alonso on that side of the pitch our weakest player (s and teams will start to try and take advantage of it.).

Matic being away has shown him to be weak and just like when teams took advantage of Ivas weakness they will target Cahill/Alonso..

We need to drop him now and put Happy in whether Conte will want to buy in or bring back loanees whatever. But we cant gamble on that kinda game from him again.

Its funny how almost every Chelsea podcast I listen to has become Gary Cahill apologists. I mean don't get me wrong when he is good he is very good but by the same token when he is shit he is real shit. 

In 14 games this season he's made at least 7 or 8 critical errors, some that have led to goals and other that have gone unpunished. Can you imagine if David Luiz or Ivanovic had made as many what the backlash would be on them???

I realize he's a great guy and consummate pro but that doesn't exempt him from being a liability at the back. He's just not regained the confidence we saw in 2015 and clearly has lost some of the pace he once had to deal with his rickets. 

I think if we buy again for the CB position it will put Cahill under threat because on current form he Luiz and Azpi are irreplaceable. You got to wonder what a back three of Luiz, Azpi and Bonucci would look like... Even Koulibaly!
