Rambo 1,729
Were there even any quotes from AVB about needing a new CB?.. Thought not.The power of the media.Exactly...are people actually taking the Luiz to Barca rumours seriously?
J.F. 1,484
TRANSFER NEWS: Chelsea Boss Keen To Replace David LuizAndre Villa-Boas would have no problems selling Brazilian defender David Luiz, according to reports. The new Chelsea boss would loss no sleep selling the 24-year old who only arrived at Stamford Bridge in January from Benfica. Despite the club paying around £23million for the defender just six months ago, Villa-Boas wants a British defender who can command both boxes. The News of the World reports that Villa-Boas isn’t convinced by Luiz and could leave this summer to pave way for Birmingham’s Scott Dann, Bolton’s Gary Cahill or Everton’s Jack Rodwell. The only Chelsea centre half who isn’t at risk of being sold is club captain John Terry. Barcelona have been linked with the former Benfica defender who has been identified as a long term replacement for Barca legend Carlos Puyol.Puyol now 33 is thought to be in his last few years as a Catalan and reports suggest he could retire as soon as next summer.Submitted by Football FriendsLINKis this a fucking joke ? Blue Armour 4,439
John Terry tells Chelsea to sign Gary Cahill More lazy journalism..I mean look at this quote from the article: " Chelsea want another English defender at the back having grown increasingly concerned by the kind of goals they conceded last season, especially from set-pieces." What goals? We never had a problem with set-pieces last season...that was in the season before that...and even if there was a problem why would an "English" defender necessarily be the solution...Terry was probably just asked what he thought about some of the other English defenders in the game, and the press think he's already given his official stamp of approval.... termninja 5,290
Best deal would be to buy him and let Alex go. I wouldn't like to see Luiz warm the bench though
