francozola 2,040
What? Koscielny is absolute garbage
CHOULO19 24,332
All the reports today are claiming it's a done deal. I'm happily surprised that our club is finally finishing deal early on. Let's hope it really is a done deal and not another Neymar.
Melanicus 5,208
I hate to be the pessimistic one here, but he's 26, any potential he may have must have been realized already because he is supposed to be at the peak of his career at the moment. The only reason I can think of which would explain why we go for Cahill instead of a young up-coming defender, is that he is seeing as a fill-gap in the awaiting that Bruma, Kalas or Chalobah (who are good prospect) is ready to be introduced in the starting eleven.Fair point, too. Melanicus 5,208
I think AVB-Coyle friendship played a big role in this deal...

Slam Dunk 1,442
He was. He's improved a lot this season.Agreed. Easily their best defender this year. Has the Arsenal fans on his side now as well.
LondonPride1905 236
Was just going to write that. He had to just get himself used to England. He is a great deffender and I don't see how Cahill is not inferior to him..

Tomo 21,751
Koscielny is in the same boat as Luiz, he makes a couple of mistakes and all everyone gets on his back and assume's he is crap even tho every single stat says otherwise. Igi26 346
Coyle: "Regarding Gary Cahill, there has been dialogue between ourselves and Chelsea. He is a top player and is fully focussed on Bolton."Looks like done deal
Peace. 4,352
Hum... I am bothered with the price... £7m, for an average player coming from a club which is at the bottom of the table, and at the top of that, he has barely 6 months left on his contract... I find him overpriced. It should have been £5m at maximum.Hence I hope he won't earn too much.
bababoom 4,478
He's not average, he starts now for England at Cb, ahead of many great cbs, jones, smalling, king etc everyone is playin poor for Bolton this year, but last year he was great. I know he will prove all the people who's saying he's 'average' wrong. ( btw I'm writing this on my iPhone, sorry for poor grammar)
_Lukaku_ 13
People are actually complaining about paying 5m-7m for a International, 26 year old, experienced in the Premiership, English CB?
LDN Blue 7,903
People are actually complaining about paying 5m-7m for a International, 26 year old, experienced in the Premiership, English CB?Because he's not that good and he's in the final months of his contract. _Lukaku_ 13
Because he's not that good and he's in the final months of his contract.Except he is and he's shown he is with England aswell as Bolton. There's a reason teams offered for him and why we're desperate to sign him up quickly. He's kept clean sheet on a consistent basis with our captain in CB for England and apart from a freak game against Montenegro they've been very solid and effective together. eldo 868
Because he's not that good and he's in the final months of his contract. That's a decent fee. I'm prepared to wait before I judge him at Chelsea.

England would finish like 10th if they were a team in the Premier League. He's not a bad player.. he's 'good'. Wenger had it right when he valued him at £6million at a time where Bolton claimed £15-20million would do it. Fucking LOL.

Ashblues 30
http://www.dailymail...illas-Boas.html Looks like the deal is almost done. So, it's better if we stop being pessimistic with Gary Cahill ,and rather support him. Cahill is a player who has years of experience when it comes to playing in 'tough' EPL. He is strong, tall, can read the game well. Moreover, being an English will help us following those quota rules. With 7 million it is a good deal.
