Phil Driver 503
Badly missed yesterday ,Rammy was isolated and looked terrible yesterday but he was alone in there with Mikel doing his usual nothing ,the class that Lamaprd has shown recently was not there and I know he needed a rest ,but this performance is always on the cards when the back up is Obi Mikel (hauled off again after another cowardly effort) full of slow sideways passes and a lack of bottle and guts ,Mikel was walked over by Stephen Ireland ,the class we saw against West Ham and Sunderland was missing yesterday and the Mikel ,Rammy partnership was awful . ChelseasMessiah 304
I would love to ask Mourinho why he plays Lampard literally every game. There is no other manager in world football who would be doing that.I would also love to see us play without him in 5 consecutive games to see how we'd fare. And Ramires had to rest a little so..

ChelseasMessiah 304
Were are indisputably a better, stronger, faster and more balanced team without Lampard in the pivot. Yaya Toure and Fernandinho are the benchmark, Essien and Ramires worked well today, but we still need better than what we have.
Korea 734
This is old news, but did Mourinho really say that Cole, Terry and Lampard were getting contract renewals next season? The_Flash
ChelseasMessiah 304
This is old news, but did Mourinho really say that Cole, Terry and Lampard were getting contract renewals next season?Mourinho is playing the psychologist for a bit of extra motivation for some of them. There is no way in hell he thinks Lampard deserves another year given his expectations to always play. There's no place for him in the midfield duo if we wanna get any where when it comes to competing with the top dogs.
Phil Driver 503
This is old news, but did Mourinho really say that Cole, Terry and Lampard were getting contract renewals next season? Is that a question? Lamps and JT will probably be here the season after next as well . This is widely reported, Jose is not going to see the heart of Chelsea thrown out of the club before their time is up it really is a no brainer . That is why Jose is a the best manager in the world and forums are for gossip . The_Flash
ChelseasMessiah 304
Frank's role this season should be as an impact sub, second striker, attacking midfielder. We will win nothing with him in the centre of the park. He doesn't possess any of the skills required to play that role. Every team we play has miles and miles of space in front of our back 4 whenever he is in there. CHOULO19 24,332
I know it's become the trend in the past two seasons to blame the pivot, but I actually think Frank was excellent yesterday and so was Obi. The team was playing very well, despite missing some chances, for most of the game until the front four (bar Willian) stopped pressing and stopped doing their job. It was 11vs8 for the last 10 minutes + extra time. Sidzeret and Blue Armour

Lamps- Mikel was not so bad after all unlike the popular belief. CHOULO19

CHOULO19 24,332
Defensively Lampard was inexistent. I thought he did well in the first half and the start of the second but got tired as the game went on. Was non-existent during extra time, but tbf so was the rest of the team except for Schwarzer and Willian.
