The problem there is neither Donnaruma or Mendy would settle wih being a number two for very long.

While Mendy isn't an elite keeper he's proven to be good enough for the position to no longer be a big weakness.

Kepa would be OK for number 2 level keeper. Its just his fee and wages that made it such a bad deal.

Whats so special about him tho? I have only seen him in CL last season some games where he did not really stand out. This season only the Lille Lyon thriller were he also did not really make a mark. what kind of cm is he supposed to be? I mean I get he is more of a technical box to box one who is also suppose to create but would he be suited to playing in the double pivot in any combination with Kante, Kovacic, Jorginho, Gilmour? Not really seen too mcuh of his defensive side in the highlight videos
