If the Lakers taught us anything last year it's that big names don't guarantee a title. BKN lacks youth, an elite wing-defender, athleticism and an excellent coach that can handle the egos as well as initiate great plays.

Oh yeah I agree, that's why I said if they can marry the talents. For Brooklyn this completely changes them from a decent perimeter floor shooting team depending on how Deron is playing into a multi-faceted side with 2 big men who not only can drive to the basket but also are decent shots from inside the paint in KG and Lopez, then you have PP and Joe (if 100% healthy) as spot shot makers, and then Deron to run the show. Defensively in the interior - it's KG, PP is a decent wing defender - can't say they're exactly slouches.

Like I said, it's all down to if they marry the talents. If they do then I can see them going far next season providing everyone important stays healthy.

lol that nets team is being coached by jason kidd, unreal, they employed him as a head coach with so many infinitely better options available

anyways good starting 5 for sure though and i don't think egos will be a big problem, especially not with kg and pierce, they were part of a super team before they will be fine

joe johnson and brook lopez arent big enough starts to have egos, deron is the only one you'd worry about especially considering his past history with utah but thats where kidd could earn his bucks since he's a hall of fame PG, so hopefully deron respects him if he doesnt the others

I really don't like the trade tbh because they will get max one more year out of KG and two max out of Paul Pierce. Not to mention the bench, which is lookin awfully weak in comparison to last years.

Marshon Brooks is a great talent and 2 first round picks? I know those picks won't be high but still that is wayyyyy to much to give up for such little return from Paul and KG.

The only reason the nets made this trade was to get rid of Gerrald Wallace's horrible contract that was keeping them from making really any moves, wish they could have found another way of getting rid of him that would have allowed them to get a free agent....oh well.

Also,

Can't wait for free agency,, really want to see where Josh Smith and D12 end up.

Seems like the later has to choose between Dallas Mavs and Houston, but will in all likelihood move to Houston. Him and harden would be an immense combo to rival OKC for years to come. And it would be like the Magic team D12 was on only instead of Jameer Nelson they got Harden as that other superstar. Can't see why or how he doesn't end up there. And at 28 its about damn time he settle down, gets his attitude sorted out and tries to get back to an NBA finals.

And for Josh Smith I hope he leaves Atlanta, he is a great talent--a real stat sheet stuffer. I heard Bulls are lookin to get rid of Carlos boozer maybe for Josh Smith but that seems highly unlikely.

Haven't heard or read where else he could be destined to go.

Hope Howard goes to Rockets. Harden and Howard combo would be so insane. Then you have Chandler Parsons on your perimeter - imagine Harden driving to the basket and kicking it to Parsons for a three, or if Parsons gets closed down it leaves Harden for an easy drive or an easy pass off a D12 pick and roll... Then you have J.Lin who's an okay mid range shooter and a decent ball distributor. Thomas Robinson is a decent PF too who could form a nice front court with D12 (one of the latter two would have to be traded for D12 to come in though I'd presume).

I can't wait for next season.

Im not too sure about the Nets being all that great next year I reckon they will start well but they have not got enough depth to make a deep push in the playoffs.

The Houston Rockets will be good to watch with the addition of Howard.

....Miami are still gonna take it though :P

Did you see Jon Hamm mocking Dwight at the ESPYs?

People will always mock Howard because of the type of person he is. Just like how they mock LBJ.

Yup, it gets old after a while, but I must admit that Hamm was indeed funny... Check it out if you haven't seen it

Rumours are that the Pelicans are looking to get in former no. 1 pick Greg Oden. If Greg gets back to any sort of form and is healthy they have a playoff calibre starting 5.

PG - Jrue Holiday

SG - Eric Gordon

SF - Tyreke Evans

PF - Anthony Davis

C - Greg Oden

6th man Ryan Anderson.

Very nice.
