No tree, left our decorations in the US

We're not doing gifts this year, we are taking a family trip (since we will only be in Asia for 3 years we are trying to see as much as we can) and donating to the needy children

Haven't found any advent calendars here (probably just haven't look at the right expat store)

I'm not Christian it would be hypocritical of me to celebrate it... but oh well, it's known that it's long been a holiday hijacked by capitalism and made for every consumer. Generally I don't care about christmas, but we'll be gathering with the family as always... a rare occasion when we all gather, especially now that my sister will be giving birth exactly at that time :P

I think there is a large part of Christmas that is secular (non-religious) and that many people who celebrate aren't Christian or even religious. Much of Christmas is about the spirt of the season and if it brings families and friends together then it should be celebrated by everyone and anyone.

Make Merry, not hypocritical -has its origin in Pagan times, hijacked by Christianity when they decided that the proles have a big bash at Winter solstice, and decided to make it the time of the birth of christ

true, I totally forgot that... in that case I'm more than qualified to celebrate it, Estonians are pagans through and through. Btw, I read that the tradition of putting up a big christmas tree in the middle of the city comes from Estonia, and it's spread to the west.

@RZA - Yeah, Christmas food is the best thing about it :D

Think youre right -either Estonia or Germany.

Thinking about it logically, theres nothing more mental.

''How shall we celebrate ?''

''I know. lets dig up a fucking great tree, bring it indoors, and hang all kinds of shit on it''.

''Sounds good to me''.

That said i always have great big fuck off one in my bay window covered in lights ...%28Y%29.gif

Same!! All the random crap that never usually eat but round chrismas seems right and doesnt sound or taste odd

Haha, I'm not religious so I don't celebrate Christmas per se. But the food is too tempting to pass up!

Nah, I'm meant to be getting something for Linda for her birthday on the 11th but she keeps telling me that I don't have to get her anything :P
