BluesChick 1,260
No tree, left our decorations in the USWe're not doing gifts this year, we are taking a family trip (since we will only be in Asia for 3 years we are trying to see as much as we can) and donating to the needy childrenHaven't found any advent calendars here (probably just haven't look at the right expat store)
manpe 10,861
I'm not Christian it would be hypocritical of me to celebrate it... but oh well, it's known that it's long been a holiday hijacked by capitalism and made for every consumer. Generally I don't care about christmas, but we'll be gathering with the family as always... a rare occasion when we all gather, especially now that my sister will be giving birth exactly at that time

Much of Christmas is about the spirt of the season and if it brings families and friends together then it should be celebrated by everyone and anyone. Btw, I read that the tradition of putting up a big christmas tree in the middle of the city comes from Estonia, and it's spread to the west.@RZA - Yeah, Christmas food is the best thing about it

Fulham Broadway 17,333
true, I totally forgot that... in that case I'm more than qualified to celebrate it, Estonians are pagans through and through. Btw, I read that the tradition of putting up a big christmas tree in the middle of the city comes from Estonia, and it's spread to the west.Think youre right -either Estonia or Germany.Thinking about it logically, theres nothing more mental.''How shall we celebrate ?''''I know. lets dig up a fucking great tree, bring it indoors, and hang all kinds of shit on it''.''Sounds good to me''.That said i always have great big fuck off one in my bay window covered in lights ...
