If we're going to play Ramires as a CM we will need him to play with a deep lying playmaker, a player which i dont think we have. Ramires on the midfielder will make our midfield very poor imo.

Ramires is not a deep-lying midfielder and he's not really a defensive midfielder for this system either. He's essentially a 4-3-3, counter-attacking midfielder which means he doesn't really fit into the current system or the team Chelsea are trying to build.

To those who said we can cope without Meireles in that midfield area with just Mikel, Lampard, Romeu, Ramires and possibly Oscar, worth remembering that we only had Mikel, Essien, Lampard and Ramires as CMs in the 2010/11 season and we all know what happened back then.

Not even sure if he can play as one of the two double pivot and is ready to play there. Might need to beef up a bit and be more physical to be able to play there.

it almost like i hope and also dont at same time that oscar fits in the pivot. if he fails there, then a switch to 433 is a must. but if he doesnt fail , rambo will continually be used on the wing. jus gota wait and fucking see.

Now that its confirmed,I'd like to thank Raul for his contributions last season.I'll admit that I wasn't his greatest fan but he always gave his maximum and helped us whenever called upon.Good luck Raul!
