Kieran. 6,317
Have said it before, Ramires, Mikel and Lampard are fine individually but offer nothing as a creative unit. That's obvious. None of them are creative players.
Guest justin_3d
So if Mata takes Lampard place in the starting 11, then we still need a winger.CechIvan-David Luiz-Terry-ColeRamires-Mikel-MataSturridge-Torres-???
Sheva. 5,373
Have said it before, Ramires, Mikel and Lampard are fine individually but offer nothing as a creative unit.Don't see any way AVB can play "sexy football" with those 3 in the middle. So if Mata takes Lampard place in the starting 11, then we still need a winger.CechIvan-David Luiz-Terry-ColeRamires-Mikel-MataSturridge-Torres-???I'm sure Mata will play on the left. Guest justin_3d
Mata doesn't play there. He can play also in the midfield.I would take Mata in that position then Lampard!Cause if we can't get Modric then we will have to rely on Mata and Yossi for creative needs. So we would still a winger, which why Alvaro makes sense, but his price is too high. He can play on the right, left or directly behind the striker in a 4-4-1-1 formation.
Joshyboy 36
Not really. He can play on the right, left or directly behind the striker in a 4-4-1-1 formation.Yup I'd expect to see him taking Malouda's spot on the left the majority of the time. But AVB likes his Inverted wingers so playing him on the right and having him cut in on his left foot is a strong possibility, we won't be seeing him in midfield though. So why some analyst said he can play in the midfield? And also AVB mention he could play in the 4-4-2?
Joshyboy 36
Interesting. So why some analyst said he can play in the midfield?Well techincally hes an Attacking Midfielder more so than a winger but he plays up the left and right and can be played in the center of a 4-2-3-1 Midfield but he can't play from a deeper position like our 4-3-3 so he's best utilized on the wing... yeah Sheva.

Guest justin_3d
Oh ok that makes sense. But i think he might be better behind the striker as you mention.I guess that would be sort of the role that VDV plays for Spurs?

NiclasCFC 2,582
Left or right of a 4-4-2 of course. He maybe ment behind the Strikers in a 4-Diamond-2?
