KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
No suprise. His rest was pretty much confirmed by RDM anyway. He should rest for the QPR game as well.
The Skipper 20,609
Yup, he could really use the next two weeks to rest up. Hope he doesn't have to report to training either.
KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
He doesn't have to report to training either. That's sort of the point of a rest. No games or training i.e. a Vacation.
BlueLyon 9,359
Deserved rest for him, but as far I know Rdm, he will play him in first next game we play. Anyone knows if this kind of 'burn out' is taking just few (2 or 3) seasons or will Mata always have problems with that?

KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
A Burnout of a player cannot simply be avoided with one rest period. It's a start but that player will need to be rested occasionally throughout the season. We have the capacity to do that now with the depth we have. However having the capacity and actually doing it are two different things.

KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
i think that moses and marin not good as he.Your point? They are good players and more than capable of playing there to give Mata a rest. Same goes for Hazard. I know he has played a crazy amount of consecutive minutes at Lille but an odd rest here and there will do him good.
Sheva. 5,373
Still, ramires shouldn't play there anymore, and i think that moses and marin not good as he.I agree with that, especially about Ramires, but RDM keeps using him there, so he counts as an option.Marin and Moses are not as good as him, but would be actually perfect in games against lesser teams where we need width and trickery out wide. We were crying out for width on friday night to stretch atletico. Moses should have come on for Ramires rather than Oscar. Sheva.
capriccioso 2,545
Lads theres an easy way around burnout.Ring up Dr. Michele Ferrari and ask him for some EPO.
Magic Lamps 11,692
So this is one reason we might switch to 4-3-3. Mata can get his pause as he is not effective in a 4-3-3 for some time.

Ramires just has his moments, very inconsistent with his technical ability it's shocking. Marin was awesome pre season a lot better than i expected to be honest, he looked just about as good as Hazard did for me, i seriously doubt he is but he looked it. He is the engine of our team and popped up with crucial goals last season. I agree we would be much better having either Marin or Moses on the right wing and allowing Ramires to play centrally, as when we play him right we lack width.
