BosnianLion 232
OK guys I have to confess something, so please don't jump on me immediately, I promise I didn't come here to troll. So in reality, I'm not a fan since 2001, can't really say I even should consider myself a fan. I've followed the EPL for a long time but never really had a "team" to root for.I'm staring to like Chelsea but I guess I can't really consider myself a fan yet. Anyways, just wanted to get that off my chest. Is it ok just to "jump in" ? Hate to think of myself as another bandwagon idiot because I'm incredibly passionate about football and my national team, Bosnia.

Kojo 4,676
lolz Haha, sorry a bit hyper lately. But there's a lot of fans who supported Chelsea after when abramovich bought the club. No one would believe me but when I was little i had the season kits each year, I've grew up with Chelsea. But it's mainly because my dad used to like Chelsea and he bought me all the kits but he's no loyal fan, he supports a different team every few years. Plus my fav color has always been blue haha. But don't worry about it mate, at the end of the day if I didn't grow up with Chelsea I don't know what team I would of supported in the future to be fair, and I'm 16 now. manpe 10,861
I am a fan because I saw a random game on TV once when I was bored, I wasn't even into football, I thought it was a boring game (yes, I was one of "them")... but while watching the game, Chelsea was playing somebody, I don't remember who, I started to like the game because of the passion the players showed, namely Terry and Lampard. Since then they became my favourite players, I googled them and started watching games regularly, and firmly grew a passion towards the whole Chelsea team. I remember Terry going kamikaze mode in every challenge and header he made zero regard to his own well-being... Lampard being intelligent with his passes and I could see the determination from his face. And finally the cheering and pride once they overturned a deficit and won the game. I don't remember what year it was or what game, it might have been pre-Roman or freshly bought by Roman, it was a long time ago and I was young... but I learned about the Roman takeover much later. You could call me a gloryhunter by definition, but I never knew anything about english premier league or champions league before that... and I never looked back even when Chelsea went through shit and as a true blue I developed hatred towards red-coloured teams My knowledge of football history is short, but I'm always looking to educate myself and when possible watch classic games. So no criticism from me

Anyone who is still a supporter after last season, ther not a glory supporter at all. In my opinion anyway.

Kez 2,727
You'll get idiots calling you a glory fan wherever you go, people don't believe I've supported the club all my life just because I'm not from London. They fail to remember that the club had fans before the money came. Don't worry because everyone has to start supporting their team sometime. As long as you don't jump ship as soon as we go through a bad patch then you'll get nothing but respect from the members from here. We're a decent bunch & always welcome new fans

Ollie 4,400
It doesn't matter when you start liking a team as long as u genuinely like them and don't decide "wow Man Utd 19 times, that's lots, i'll support them, yeah dude!" no.... that's not how things work lol. It could be 1970, 1998, 2011, Chelsea are Chelsea. You can break a commitment with your girlfriend or your wife but NEVER your football club! Oh btw, Welcome to Chelsea
Laylabelle 9,536
I only really started supported and following football in gerneral and Chelsea after watching the Charity Shield game in 2005.Mainly because up until then I had no intrest, mums always been a Chelsea fan and her family and its always been on the telly in our house and did get told often 'if you support Liverpool/Spurs can live in the garage lol'..but nout to do with the fact started supported till started winning just never sat down watched a game before and when I did liked it and the atmosphere and all..even if it was random people in GreeceBut like say gotta start somewhere.Dont give a shit what year etc I cant talk anyway but when people support then when they're doing well then bugger off to support Man U when not..then its kinda hmmmmmm bog off!!! Ray. 217
The main thing is to stick with it and support the team whatever happens, win or lose. I've only been supporting Chelsea since the beginning of the 2009/2010 season and have not looked back since. It 's been one of the best decisions i've ever made.
