How do they know the song has anything to do with his race? White men can't have bellends reaching their toes? On the contrary - them automatically concluding that it's about his race, is racist. :D

The chant, sang to the tune of the 'Made of Stone' by the Stone Roses,

The lyrics go:

"Romelu Lukaku,

"He's our Belgium scoring genius,

"He's got a 24 inch penis,

"Scoring all the goals,

"B*****d to his toes."

Scott Patterson, who publishes the popular blog The Republik of Mancunia, slammed the chant as "drivel that belongs in the 1980s."

He went on: "Here we have a hugely talented striker, currently the top scorer in the league, yet he’s reduced to us celebrating the supposed size of his d***.

Apparently berated his team mates in dressing room about a lack of service after we beat United. He was shite for them and I don’t know if he realises that strikers sometimes have to create their own chances. United aren’t Everton or West Brom. Think his goal drought is like 7 games now, hopefully will continue, can’t believe we were willing to pay 75m for somebody who can’t control a football.

He did create his own chance that game that Courtois did well to save and the way Mourinho sets up his teams in away games not surprised he's isolated, he's playing for 0-0 exactly like he did for us playing away. Morata before United didn't score for 6 games either, droughts happen. In that time he's had two assists and hit the woodwork twice.

Still did Morata berate his team mates on said drought? Lukaku was isolated against us sure but he chose to join a Jose Mourinho team, should he have expected anything else in big games? To struggle at times? To be isolated against 3 CBs? For him to sit there and disrespectfully question his team mates, who have done and won a lot more than him in football over a question of “service” when he was virtually anonymous bar a 20 yard shot, which considering most of his goals come from the 18 yard box, is ridiculous and arrogant.

I think his decision to join Man United was a good move for him (turned out to be very good for us as for me he’s an inferior all round player to Morata, perhaps more clinical than AM) as he can be a flat track bully vs smaller teams and get 15+ goals yes but against the big teams, not a chance he will be such as prolific a player.

That is a valid point but at the same time, you also want to see what your striker is made of when he is not getting much support. Yes, Mourinho sets his team defensively but even if he does set them offensively, they are not going to dominate every game and supply Lukaku (or whoever) with tons of chances. There will be games where his team will be feeding off scraps and you need your striker to create something good going forward. MOTD did a minor analysis of Morata v Lukaku in that United game and you can definitely see where the latter is falling short.

When he was with us he had this cocky vibe as if he was so-sure he'd be the next legend of our club.

Now, he's even more smug, but is he really going to end up a legend for United? I'm doubtful, no matter how much he scores.

When all is said and done, the records will read - Lukaku, legend for Everton. :D

Redcafe on Lukaku, looks like reality is hitting big time, how stupid must they feel for mocking us and Morata?

Quote

I don't like his body language today. Constantly raising his arms in frustration or pointing frustrated were he wanted the ball every time a teammate does a mistake/bad delivery.

Quote

A lot was made of our midfield not constantly supplying him with chances but his movement really isn't that good - surprisingly, I though it was one of his main strengths.

Quote

For such a strong guy, his physical presence is pretty bad. He is not bullying anyone, neither with his upper body nor with his speed. That missed chance also represents poor composure. Pretty 0/10 today.

Donkey in today's game.

This guy still has it all to prove with us. Game after game centre backs find it so easy to mark him out the game. RVN couldn't create goals for himself but his game was technically sound and efficient. Lukaku on the other hand kills passing moves and needs clear chances to score.

Top strikers like Kane, Aguero etc make goals out of half chances. Our Rom is a level below atm

He's not the kind of striker that will take a game by the scruff of the neck. He needs to have very good service, otherwise he's useless.  Far too easily nullified.

Quote

I think that's an easy cop out for Lukaku.

He doesn't need good fullbacks on the pitch in order to successfully complete a one-two or hold up the ball with one defender on him. He's an incredibly average football player who only looks good when scoring.

In most games it won't be a problem but in big games or games where we struggle like today, Lukaku has proven to be ineffective this season.

This isn't any kind of kneejerk response, as I had been very happy with Lukaku early on in the season.

My primary concern when we were linked with him was how reliant he was on service. In this day and age having a striker so reliant on other players creating for them is a dangerous game to play. There will always be days when the midfield behind you struggles to create, and on those days, you need your striker to produce a moment of magic, like a Suarez or Aguero would. I worry that Lukaku doesn't have it in him to produce that moment of magic.

Quote

He is such a crap player, it's quite funny how Utd seem to like creating their own problems by signing players like him, even after so many managers. His numbers don't mean anything

If Mourinho is as ruthless as his reputation suggests, he should let Lukaku go soon enough.

Quote

So his poor form is down to our poor fullbacks? Top players don't have those kind of excuses and it's not like the fullbacks are to blame for how often the ball gets away from him when we are trying to build an attack, he's supposed to offset this by burying his chances but he had two good ones tonight and missed them both.

Quote

Benteke v2 - needs a full team to work towards him to get the best out of him.

José's quote about not being able to play rashford & martial in the same team is trash - both could be in partnership as strikers but the special one can only utilise strikers like lukaku & ibrahimpvic.

Quote

Probably not a good time to critique individual players when still raging, but his football skills are shite, the fact he can put the ball in the net (though not tonight) will never catapult him into the elite bracket of strikers. Not ever.

Literally every single reason that i wasn't arsed about selling him nor wanted him back is covered here. Poor movement, static play, lazy, poor technique etc etc, honestly i would genuinely rather have the version's of Eto'o or Ba we got in 2013 over Lukaku let alone Costa or Morata. We already have 1 "flawed but scores" striker in Bats we certainly didn't need another.

Some members here were mocking me when I said I don't want Lukaku here in any shape or form. Glad we got Morata best of the bunch that was available.

I was deceived by the stats when thinking it was a mistake for not getting him, but he really is a poor player with a very very low footballing IQ.

Also I think there is only two or three matches this season in which he scored the 1st goal. Other than that he scored the odd 3rd or 4th goal everytime when the match was already done and dusted.
