Official: Zhirkov Joins Anzhi Makhachkala

FC "Anji" reached agreement with FC "Chelsea" on the transition in Makhachkala Russia club midfielder Yuri Zhirkov.

This afternoon, rookie team, after passing the medical examination, signed the four-year contract with our club.

Before today's match against FC "Tom" the ceremony of presentation Zhirkov as a player, "Anji", in which a player of team Russia appealed to the fans:

That was quick . Good luck to him , didn't quite go according to plan at Chelsea but was a handy player when needed and played an important cameo in the business end of the double winning season . Won't forget that tricky game against Bolton on a dark sullen night where his head was busted and leaked a pint of blood despite getting wrapped up , MOM that night . Zhirkov wasn't given a fair crack of the whip but also suffered a little from injury, I wish him well at his new club.

I wouldn't be surprised if the club use the money from his transfer to make a last push for Modric.

You'd think with the sale of Zhirkov, and Mikel's supposed injury today... surely Boas has to dip into the market for Modric! If not, then all of Chelsea's board, including Ron Gourlay are mugs!

Im really dissapointed at this.. Bosingwa, anelka and kalou should all go before Yuri. I also think we could get better paid.
