Brilliant call to LBC Radio.. he completely destroyed that guy. Lamps was having a hard time in his life with the breakup and the death of his mother, yet he still did his job on the pitch as determined as ever. You will rarely find a character like this on a football field.

Lamps has not had the best of pre-seasons....but I have a feeling he's just recharging his batteries (which can take a while given he's 33)...This should explain why AVB gives him so many minutes on the pitch despite not playing to his best....

I hope this thread is intended as a tribute not a memorial .. Too many fans seem keen on writing his obituary . I agree we havent seen

the best of Frank recently BUT if we are to have a good season we will need a big contribution from Frank ...His skill and experience can't

easily be replaced..
