Watching the game and romeu is doing good.

He is doing everything that mikel does not do.

Faster, aggressive, and makes forward passes!

Hopefully he can keep picking up his game this season so he can come back next season.

Edit: he did made a lot of mistakes. Not sure if that will cost him his place but he did look promising.

He also did other things that Mikel never does like lose the ball too easily at the edge of his own box, misplace a lot of passes, and be completely out of position when the opposition counter attack.

He had a bad game, but to be fair to the kid, so did all of Valencia.

Mikel's positioning was brilliant when everton scored, like a deer in front of headlights.

Seems a distant memory when we were all fearing Barcelona would be exercising the mysterious buy-back clause, then debating the logistics of this clause. Really feel bad for him, ACL is a terrible injury to pick up at any point in someone's career.

I really feel for the lad. His huge potential was obvious but the footballing gods seem to plot against him. Hope he can take the opportunities given to him in the future and stay fit.
